Had to cancel due to personal reasons. They make it impossible to deal with in regards to cancellation. They say to cancel with booking agency and the booking agency says to cancel with Hertz. Totally confusing.

I left a jacket behind at the Hertz office but was told by them when I returned that the Lost & Found guy was not there & I would need to file a claim online. Cant they just always just have an employee for their Lost & Found on site

I checked out online with my DEBIT card and at no point at all did it state a Credit card was required. They withdrew the money from my bank account and approved the reservation. We show up to get it and he said they cant give it to us because I dont have a credit card THEN WHY ACCEPT THE RESERVATION WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD? WHY WITHDRAW MONEY FROM MY DEBIT CARD?? Now I have to wait over a week for my money back

My reservation was moved and was not convenient. Was notified the evening before I was supposed to pick up at 9 AM the next day. No cars were not available. Ruined my trip.

First the good news...the staff was friendly, the interior of the car was clean. The bad news...it took 1-1/2 hours to pick up the car. I was told to vacuum the car before returning it. That's something I never heard before! The exterior of the car was not clean. Bugs all over the front . And the car had some damage to the front bumper and radar sensor. I didn't notice this damage when I picked up the car. When I returned it, they were very good to take my word for it that the damage was there when I picked it up. Despite the staff being friendly, this is not an efficiently run location. I would not recommend, especially if you are in a hurry!

There was no indication when I booked that I could not leave my car at the rental place so I had to spend significant time finding a place to park my car including having someone come and pick me up so they could take me back to the car rental pick up. When I tried to cancel my reservation so I could just drive my own car — this was for business, both Priceline who I booked the car through and hertz refused to refund me. The “maintenance required, return car to dealership light” came on after 20 minutes in the first car they gave me, requiring me to turn around and drive back to the rental place for another car. They told me not to worry about it and I had to insist on taking a different car, because had something gone wrong I would have been responsible. Two cars later, I was finally on the road in a vehicle that smelled like smoke and only had half a tank of gas. I was at the Hertz rental place for three hours before I got out of town. I will NEVER use Priceline or Hertz again. 0 stars | 5 👎🏼

Picking up at Tulsa Airport was long. There was only one person working for Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty so we were all funneled through one window. It appears to be a slow transaction to begin with so him being on his own with a line of 10 customers in the 95 degree temperatures was frustrating. Drop off was super simple and I got a receipt 20 min later in my email.

The car interior (or at least the trunk space) had not been cleaned prior to my rental. The staff was phenomenal, though. One employee even lent me her phone to call family when I'd lost my cell. I wish I'd gotten her name. I was so stressed at the time that I didn't think to ask.

Better explanation that I would have to take a Uber or taxi from the airport to pick up the vehicle. I stood in line at the airport for almost 30 mins as they where behind. Once I got to the counter it was explained that I had to take a Uber to the other location.

Nice staff, nice vehicle.I rented a Corolla but was bumped up to a 4Runner because at pickup time. While I enjoyed the vehicle, the lower gas mileage made the rental more expensive.

The staff was helpful, but the Avis's policy on accepting payment is nonsensical and downright idiotic. They would not accept my debit card. I literally use this card EVERYWHERE -- travel, retail, etc. -- both offline and online for much larger and much smaller purchases, and I've never had an issue. Then, Avis says they can't use that to rent the car to me? Are you kidding me? I'm a Preferred Plus member and have rented cars from you many times. You know you can trust me to pay, and you know who I am. (I literally could've walked over to an airline ticket counter, used my debit card to buy a refundable ticket, returned to Avis to rent a car [since that's the only way they said they'd accept my debit], and then returned to the airline ticket counter for a refund. That makes NO sense.) AFTER THAT FIASCO AND ARGUING WITH THE STAFF TO NO AVAIL, I tried to see if they could use my American Express card that's in the system (since I use it regularly for work). They needed a code, but I didn't have the card (it was in my home in another state). I got on the phone with American Express, and they were willing to give a 1-time code (they said they do this regularly with companies when their clients don't have their cards). Unfortunately, Avis didn't accept that offer either. GRRRRRRR. I ended up having to get a local family member to swipe a credit card of theirs. So frustrating!

$250 for an economy car we used for 2 hrs from Tulsa to Joplin seems pretty steep! High price for convenience. The process was very smooth, from online rental to pickup to return.

It was easy to change my drop off location to my actual hotel instead of one nearby.Giving me the option to drop off at my hotel, that had an Avis desk when I booked the vehicle would have been nice.

The car was not vacuumed out. Gas was not quite topped off. Car was turned in Monday morning at 440am and today was called stating vehicle is overdue. I called tue to ensure it was checked in an the said it wasn't yet. Called today and told the same thing again. Will not rent from hertz/dollar/thrifty again.

The tiny car they stiffed me with was nice and clean. I paid for an Intermediate and they gave me the keys for a small Ford compact. When I complained that is not what I signed up for, they told me, "I could take it or leave it." Me and my wife were stuck for driving way over 1,800 miles from Tulsa , OK to Daytona Beach, FL in that very small car.Every thing from the service I received. Still have not heard back from Dollar after I registered a complaint with them several days ago.

Fast and easy the pick up and drop off. No hassle and fast statement received once I had returned the car.No surprise charges when picking up the car. When reserving the car it should already calculated how much is expected to be charge.

staff was great, drop off was easy.the additional fees incurred at drop off were not disclosed properly at rental. those fees should be disclosed when someone is making the purchase. it's shady and nobody feels good about their rental when they're slapped with that. the vehicle was clean and full of gas, i'm talking about the "standard" fees that everyone incurs.

Car was not ready. They tried to charge for things in a very shifty way. They did not disclose information that was important to the rental. They were emphatic that there was to be no smoking of any kind in the car and gave us a car that reeked of smoke - and then said that it was the cleaner they used to sanitize due to COVID. RIGHT!!! They charged us (prepaid) for a full tank of gas upon return, said we had a full tank of gas when they gave us the keys, but the car was only half full. When we pointed all these things out, they became defensive, dismissive and resorted to lies.

We tried calling 3 times to ensure the location would be open when we arrived (our flight was delayed) and could not get in contact with them. We called the location next to Thrifty and they assured us someone would be there and able to help us. When we arrived, no one was there and we could not pick up our car. We had to last minute get a new car from Enterprise and given this was a 'non-refundable' ticket, we could not recoup the booking cost.

I needed a car to drive to Dallas on short notice. I mistakenly thought I will rent a car from the airport location. I was able to reserve the car a pay for the insurance however, when I went to pickup the car I was turned away empty handed. Apparently, If you don not have a major credit card you can not rent a car. However they are more than happy to accept a debit card payment for the insurance. Very frustrating experience and I basically got ripped off. I am comforted to know all of this is in the fine print.

The women that helped us when picking up the rental was wonderful; the car was clean and new; drop off was super quick and easy. Will definitely use Thrifty again.Prices could be cheaper, but for a minivan with leather seats at about $70/day it’s not too bad.

Out of carsI got a car...I reserved a car online- a small SUV. When I arrived I was told they ONLY had compact and economy cars. And that it would still be the same price. I was given a tiny little car with no key fob to lock or unlock. It was really dirty on the outside like someone had driven through the rain and dirt. And the tire pressure was low. I’ll never rent from Thrifty again. I’ll pay a little mike to go with Hertz or National.

My credit card that I use for car rentals had expired and you really can’t get a car without a credit card. Also, we rushed to get back by the deadline to the airport and there were very loose directions on what to do with your keys etc. I was nervous about not getting my deposit back.

I received a message while en route to Tulsa that Payless would not be able to honor my reservation as they did not have any vehicles. I ended up stranded as a result. I will never ever book a rental with Payless again.

I liked the option with Payless to pick up the car on airport property vs. needing to shuttle to another location. Returning the car was simple and easy, which was appreciated.The staff was friendly at pick up, but we had to wait in line in the garage to get the keys for much longer than one would expect. A parking garage is not the safest of places to try to wrangle a toddler who has been stuck on a plane for several hours. When we got to the car, the vehicle wasn’t as clean inside or out as one would reasonably expect either. Despite paying more for a mid-size SUV to comfortably fit our standard sized car seat that easily fits in a similar mid-size SUV, it took quite a bit of effort to get the seat installed due to it being a tight fit and then not the most comfortable ride for the driver who had to scoot the seat closer to the steering wheel than preferred.

Car was dirty inside and out, had 40k miles on it, oil change came on mid trip, outside was all scratched up on all sides, no attendee or exit gate to report scratches, you just exit the airport and then you are on the road, the most we have e we had to pay for such a poorly maintained rental car

It did not seem staff were prepared for the amount of reservations that had been made. We were the last flight in and one person was running the counter for Budget, Avis and the Payless counter. Staff were not able to login easily which led to like swaps and outdoor waiting for many customers. The staff handled the stress well. Following pick up everything else went smoothly.

The car was a good value for the money.They did not have my reservation in the system when I dropped off the car, so I had to wait for them to finish with another customer so they could locate it. Luckily I had arrived at the airport with enough time built in, but if I was close on timing, it would not have been good.

Was unable to rent.It wasn't stated that a $200 drop fee would be required for a one way rental. We were unable to rent from anywhere and weren't able to make our trip. Please make sure to clearly state this to future renters.
