Cons: Honestly I really like Enterprise and the one in Anaheim on Harbor... hands down best customer service! The guys are so friendly to all customers from what I saw while waiting. They make it as easy for you to be in and out without wasting your time or theirs. I will most likely only be using enterprise for car rentals whenever needed. I will reccomend them to everyone!

Reservation but no car availCons: I made my reservation and when I checked to make sure my car was ready at 10am I was told no cars until around 4pm unless I wanted to take a 15 passenger van. I then made reservations thru Alamo and picked up my car around 11:30 am and it only had 800 miles on it. I was very pleased with Alamo but displeased with Enterprise. First time Enterprise did not have a car ready for me.

Neil Rutkowski - California RentalPros: The counter service was great. The car itself was great.Cons: I booked this rental at <$100 total estimated and it was close to $400. I was put in a larger vehicle not because I requested it, but I was led to believe they were doing me a favor. I was issued an external GPS but the care was also equipped with GPS. I was told the drop-off fee to another location would be waived. I'm not sure it was. I really feel like I got upcharged under high pressure situations (raining coming into LAX) and tight time leaving SNA. If someone could review this rental, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks, Neil.

Pros: I showed up to the designated location to pick up my reserved rental car and found the branch closed. I had confirmed my reservation the day before. Other customers were showing up as well to drop off their vehicles but the building was locked. When calling Alamo's main customer support line, I was placed on hold for more than 30 minutes. The representative that helped us could not provide us with an answer as to why the location was closed. They did not offer any solutions other than to drive to a different location which would take us an additional 45 minutes to arrive.Cons: Customer service on all levels. There are no guarantees with this company even when you have a confirmation number. I highly recommend using an alternative car rental company.

Pros: I liked nothing. This location was closed due to Covid 19, but on the website still allowed you to book rentals! We calling to verify and confirm only an automatic service was available. When we got to the office there was a note saying go to a different sister station to get rental services.Cons: Any changes should be notified to customers right away!

Pros: Nothing, terrible experience. The Alamo rental business itself was CLOSED. I was able to rent and reserve a car, but upon arrival to the location the place was closed. This is unacceptable. I even called Alamo customer service and they confirmed the reservation and address, and said it was open on their end of information....but the place was not open for business nor were they answering their phones.Cons: Your company needs to check (especially with variable business hours/operation these days) to see if the rental companies themselves are OPEN before allowing customers to make reservations. In the end, I was left without a rental car and late for my trip. I had to find another rental car location to emergently book a car. Your company needs to filter business and not allow this happen to other customers because it was a big hassle.

Pros: Drop-off was incredibly easy, and the car was great. Clean interior and excellent gas mileage.Cons: The gentleman who helped us at the pickup needs some improvement. When we arrived there were two customers ahead of us, and two other customers came in after us. It took him 10-15 minutes per customer (including us) to get things checked out. We waited for over 30 minutes to get to the counter to pick up the car (which, although it was reserved, had been given to someone else, apparently), and then it took another 10-15 for him to finish. He was able to get us another car and at a great price, but he talks WAY too much. I totally understand that being friendly is a big part of business and the customer experience, but he went on and on, tangent after tangent, with each customer, even though there were others waiting and it was clear some (including us) were in a hurry. It's more important to be respectful of the customers' time when you have that many people waiting than to chat it up incessantly with each of them.

Likewise, there was nothing confirming rate. When I returned the vehicle they initially charged me for fuel, even though I returned the car with more!

Pros: Pick up location was convenient. First car had several dings/scratches, and the inside was dirty and stained. We asked for a replacement and received a different vehicle right away. Car wasn't super comfortable for a road trip, as planned, but it worked. Drop off was super easy.
Pros: That the inside of the car was clean and there was a full tank.Cons: When you book a car online they have the car you booked not make you take a $2 a day upgrade when it was there fault for not having the car in the first place. Also they need to train there employees to take better care of the customers and not let them stand in the lobby waiting to be checked out while they wait check everyone else out. And they could have washed the car saying it rained the day before is no excuse to give me a dirty on the outside car.

AVIS at DisneylandPros: It was close to my hotel and easy to find my car.Cons: The person at the Disneyland area location for pickup was rude. My reservation was duplicated in their system (I never received notification of a second one) and he proceeded to lecture me on what seems like was possibly a bug in their system. The car has obviously been smoked in, and the cleaning didn’t cover the smell well.

Pros: I didn't like anything about renting from Hertz. They didn't have a car when they said they would. Their local agents did what they could, however their reservation service is a joke. I wasted an entire day of my vacation trying to get the car I had ordered and then had to take a smaller vehicle or not have a car. Hertz gave no compensation. Cons: I had lost/stolen my wallet the morning of my scheduled pickup, I was 1.5 hrs late to pick up the car. I had already prepaid for my rental car and they said they only hold cars for one hour. My father was with me since I had no for of payment or ID with me since he only had a debit card with him.

Lies about availabilityCons: Paid for an uber to arrive at the location where I’d reserved a car. No cars were actually available and my reservation didn’t mean anything. Wasted that uber money and had to find somewhere else to go and pay for a second uber. Terrible customer service. No apologies and there was only one worker there so I had to wait 20 minutes for him to finish with the customer ahead of me, only to find out I was wasting my time as well as my money being there.

Hertz cancelled on me the day before I was supposed to pick up the carPros: I didn’t like anything. They were horrible.Cons: The day before I was supposed to pick up the rental car Hertz called and cancelled. They said they ran out of cars and did not have a car for me, even though I booked this reservation over a month ago. I had plans to take my family to SeaWorld and I needed a car to get there from Los Angeles. I had already bought the SeaWorld tickets and they were nonrefundable. Hertz really screwed me over on this one. I’m going to fight to get compensation on this one.
Cons: I never got a confirmation email and no one had record of me renting a car. So I had to rent a car last minute from another company.

Pros: The staff at this location was excellent and went out of there way to try to find the perfect vehicle for me ... and the vehicle (Lincoln Navigator) was very nice.Cons: I had wanted a 4wd for our family ski trip to Colorado, but they could not promise that the vehicle provided on my pick-up day would be a 4wd (and it wasn't). That just doesn't seem right. They were able to find a very nice large luxury vehicle (Navigator) for me that they brought in from another location that morning ... so I had to wait a bit for it (but no big deal). Fortunately, the lack of 4wd did not become an issue on our trip.

Confusing car drop offPros: Convenient location near to the hotel we were staying at.Cons: The parking lot was a bit confusing; there were cars coming and going and no clear place to park the car I took (my wife dropped me off) to pick up the new car we were renting
Pros: Pick up took very long as they were quite unorganized. Drop off was a nightmare- they were supposed to be open by 9:30am and I waited until 12 noon (which was my drop off time) and they did not open their business. There was no one there yet they had a line of customers waiting out in the cold.Cons: Organization, communication with customers, and promptness- no one took responsibility for today.

Do not usePros: The vehicle was ok, not the cleanest but, the drop off and complimentary shuttle at LAX was excellent.Cons: Make sure you have a paper copy of your insurance or you will get a very hard time. We had no issues when we rented at the LAX location and no issues dropping off there but, the very rude man the Anaheim Avis/Budget rental office almost didn’t let us rent as he was angry we went through kayak and had no wifi for me to show him my insurance document. He was argumentative and down right rude. I will let people know not to rent from this location again. He racked the bill up as high as he could to make a buck!

Pros: The agent was able to fix my billing issue with some creative computer work.Cons: Agent had to fix the automatic addition of a fuel charge as I had driven very few miles; however, after I showed my receipt for gas that was purchased down the street, he fixed it. This charge is something that needs to not happen automatically, as other people may be more distracted and end up paying a lot more than they were expecting.
