Price did not match what was booked
Cons: I booked on kayak for 110.00 tax inclusive. When I got to the car rental desk it was 131.00. I know it is only 20 dollars and I did not have time to argue because I was running late but this was very misleading.

A car will get you around
Pros: The car was fine - just a little confusing to find since I was told a row with 6 options but there were only two cars available.
Cons: The site is ghetto......it is off of the airport, which is fine, but the car lot was just ghetto...dirty and disorganized.

They denied my rental
Cons: After a line of nearly an hour, they denied my rental because I only had debit cards (I did the reservation with the same debit card). When tried to switch the reservation to my wife, they said it wasn't possible and made a new one, of course more expensive than the original. I don't think I will ever repeat with them.

The price was great. The check in was super easy. All staff VERY friendly. I wouldn't buy that model of car but it met my needs for this trip.

Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Need more signage at airport for returning car. BEWARE, they are great for wanting you to upgrade which of course will increase the cost. Have your agreement available from when you booked on line to confirm the agreed cost. Use of kiosk takes even longer to use then speaking with someone at the counter.

Cons: When I got to the airport to pickup my car, the retailer told me there were additional fees and taxes that I needed to pay because it was an airport pickup. I was also charged an additional amount when I dropped it off, again because the drop-off was at an airport. I also paid for a intermediate sized car but was given a Ford Fiesta. I was disappointed in this experience and would not recommend Hertz to anyone.

Overall good, location issue
Pros: Great little car! Drop off was painless.
Cons: My car was equipped with an easy pass for toll lanes, but it wasn't until I had a problem that I found out that you had to open a box in order to use it, that was not explain to me when the car was given to me, I had to look up to the pass and read it. I'm guessing will get a fine in the mail.

Great Rental at an Amazing Weekend Rate!
Pros: Great price. Nice people at the service desk. Fast in and out.
Cons: Be aware that it is quite a hike between the terminal and the garage where the cars are stored. This is the same for EVERY car rental company at DCA. I was fine, but if I'd had a lot of stuff to carry or my elderly parents had been with me, it would have been a problem for sure.
Cons: Would you please arrange for someone to contact me about the disgraceful experience I had with a Budget car rental this week.
When my holiday plans recently changed, I called to adjust the pickup location (within the same city). A customer service person completed the request but did not advise me that the cost of the rental would DOUBLE. I only discovered this when I received an email receipt.
I called to cancel that entire booking.
I was advised that if I wasn’t sure how long I needed the car, I could make a booking and EASILY call to extend the booking at any time.
When collecting the car, the attendant at the desk insisted that we change the name of the reservation to the name of the credit card used. We did so.
When I called to extend the rental by a day, I was advised that the car was expected in California. All our documentation showed that we had correctly booked to return the car to Washington DC.
The customer service person was unable to provide any documentation to confirm the change to our booking.
We could not be connected to customer service. We had to hang up and call back.
We were determined to get a receipt for the extended booking, given the difficulty we had already had with Budget.
I called to extend the booking again. And was advised that the change in name of the booking (which Budget insisted we do) had complicated the booking which was not easily found.
When I returned the car in Washington DC, the attendant was not able to complete the booking or provide a receipt. I do not accept that this is because the car was collected in Atlanta. Cars are collected and returned to different locations everyday! We should have a receipt when we return a BUDGET car to a BUDGET office.
Finally, I asked a customer service agent for advice on how to extend an insurance policy when I extend a car booking. She was incredibly rude and provided no advice.
The service was so poor and this experience was so bad that I am determined not to rent a car with budget again. It seems that offices and customer care share the Budget brand, but are not at all connected?
I would like a refund that reflects this experience.

Pros: The car was fine. I had no complaints
Cons: When I returned the car I told them it needed a good vacuuming since my son's dog was in the car and he sheds. The attendant told me that dogs were not allowed and they would charge me $200+ for cleaning. No one had told me dogs were not allowed and nothing in their contract states that. It does state that a reasonable charge would be applied for clean up if necessary. The only additional cleaning needed would be minor. I'm aware of that since I brought the car to a car wash when I arrived at my destination on Dec 21st. The total cost including a generous tip was under $20. Budget has charged me over $300 which is totally unreasonable. There were no stain or anything extraordinary required.

good and poor
Pros: The budget people at our hotel were amazing, they allowed to return the car 1 day early and we did not have to hassle with the airport lot especially being they didn't open until 7 am and our flight took off at 7:15 am.
Cons: When we got to airport we went to rental agent at airport to find our we had to go to union station to pick-up car. We got a rate of $220 for week on internet and to get one from the airport she wanted $599 so we got an uber and went downtown and saved $400. The agent didn't offer any discounts or price matching.

No cars and poor customer service
Cons: Arrived at pickup counter, was informed that the reservation only locked in the price, not an actual car. Pulled up my confirmation email which said, "Rental car reserved" in large letters. The Budget representatives at the counter did not apologize. We will not be using Budget again.

Cons: Incorrect billing on fuel and odometer led to painstaking process to get reimbursed.
Cons: Avis staff were rude, uncommunicative and unhelpful. Very long wait to pickup car, no explanation, lots of chaos and confusion. Staff were fighting with each other and ignoring customers. Total lack of accountability or basic customer service.

Pros: Quick in getting me my car
Cons: I expected to pay half the amount I ended up paying. My estimated total was around $33, and I understand it was an estimation, that's fine. But I ended up paying $80!! AFTER they gave me the receipt and AFTER I asked for them to explain all the charges did they offer me an explanation of "it's because you didn't fill up the gas tank even though it says full". After inquiring some more about what they meant by that, I do understand why they're asking me to fill up the tank and bring in a receipt even if the gas gauge reads "full," but it would have been really nice (and quite simple on their part) to have informed me of that BEFORE I took the car. Yes, they did ask me before I took the car, if I wanted to pay the $30 extra for them to fill up the gas tank. Since I was only driving a few miles for a few hours, I didn't expect to use enough gas to empty the tank, so I kindly declined.
When I was talking with them, there was also a line forming, so they were annoyed that I was asking these questions (and it was quite apparent on how annoyed they were).
Not using Kayak or Avis again. Extremely disappointed.

I booked the car through KAYAK but payment at AVIS at different charge
Cons: We make the booking car rental at KAYAK at the cost 348.92 $ for Avis Rent a Car Confirmation Number:02673329US1 ,But when pick up AVIS made up the contract charge 572$ at 11:15am (28th Dec) . We claim the payment at return time of drop off at (12:00 noon 30th Dec) , They said that because we pick up 45min early then they charge additional 1 more day , it's not fair if they mentioned clearly and adivise us we would delay pick up 45 min to meet the contract term . The total amount 572$ was not clearly in detail . In additional on 2nd Feb ,2018 our bank card has been charge other 130$ by Avis for unknown reason . All the gap paid amount with booking amount should be returned to us as requested .

Worked as advertised
Pros: Rented Ford Taurus. Drove from Washington DC to Miami and back without issues. Car was clean and functional. Got additional insurance through Kayak 3rd party at a fraction of the price that Avis would charge.
Cons: Comfort rating isn't a reflection on Avis, more about the long distance comfort of the vehicle itself.
Pick-up/Drop-off location at 1722 M street opens precisely at 7am. No early/late drop-off available.

Big delay in getting car
Pros: Car we finally ended up with was fine. Manager tried to be helpful when we spoke with him.
Cons: Union Station DC location is very hectic. Desk workers were unfriendly and unhelpful. Had to wait a very long time for our car. First car we were given reeked of cigarette smoke and had ashes on the console; clearly had not been cleaned.

Disrupt this market pls
Pros: The car was new and clean. All sales associates were kind and understanding
Cons: Dear god, can someone disrupt this antiquated market of rental car companies? They rented us a car not knowing if there would be enough cars and though the office peeps were very helpful, AVIS company policies have backed them into a corner. We waited for our car for over an hour and watched our rental specialists spend most of that time idle as well. There are no options to switch locations, there is little communication about what is going on, and the documents are still printed slowly on dot matrix printers. Why can't we have an ap for this?

Great car, awful service
Pros: The car was great - great value for what I paid.
Cons: The service at this location was abysmal. Cops were called because a customer has "lost" a car. No one was helpful in getting the car OR returning. It took me an hour to pick up car and an hour to return. There was only one person at the counter the entire time. Good value but you get what you paid for with service.

Cons: No car! I thought I had reserved a car - I had, in fact. But because I didn't arrive at the time I had reserved (I was an hour late), they gave my car to someone else, and had no other cars available. We tried calling 3 others Enterprise locations but no one had a car.
I had reserved a car for 24 hrs. If the staff wasn't sure I was still coming to pick it up, why not call or email? Or if they don't want to contact me BEFORE, why not contact me AFTER so I don't waste a trip to the pickup location? Completely UNACCEPTABLE and ridiculous.
This is not how a car "reservation" should work. If you have a policy that customer must arrive within X minutes of car's reservation time, please make that clear so we know what the window of time is, or so we know when we need to modify the reservation to adjust the pickup time in advance.
BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! Why would anyone make a reservation with Enterprise if we're not guaranteed an actual car? This was for an important trip to a hospital to visit a sick family member. Luckily I was able to get a car from Hertz.

Pros: The folks at the 1069 Vermont Ave Enterprise in DC were incredibly nice in helping pick out my car before departing on my trip and were gracious upon return. I will definitely be renting from this Enterprise location in the future. It was a seamless and pleasant experience I will be recommending to friends. Cons: The person at the front desk was very very disrespectful to me and my husband. He claimed that he called and left a message and since we didn't call him back, we don't have a car. He also lectured us on how we need to answer our call when someone calls. we assured him that we didn't get a call but it didn't help. This was the worst experience of my life.

Pros: The pickup was very easy and quick. The car was clean and performed well.
Cons: When I went to drop off the car, the gate wouldn't open, saying the garage was full. It wasn't. After a while I finally figured out that I had to drive around the building and enter the garage from the top of the hill and drive all the way down through the garage. This whole process was unclear and added at least 30 minutes to my drop off which should have been easy.
Cons: I pick up the car with an empty gas tank and returned it empty too but i was charged for the empty tank.
I am asking the company to refund the amount of money charged to my debit card

Very hard to find!

Cons: The place was incredibly hard to find. There are no signs. Instruction in confirmation were not clear enough. We called customer service because we drove around for about 39 mins and they were also not able to give us info on how to get there. They transferred us to the location desk and we were on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up.

Good Price but Poor Vehicle Quality
Pros: Price was good and pickup personnel were attentive
Cons: The first vehicle (Economy) did not have a working passenger seatbelt. I switched for a second vehicle which had a very noisy ventilation fan/ motor. Unfortunately, it was 20 degrees at the time, so heat and the fan were necessary. In any event, it was only a day trip, so it was not the worst.
Pros: The lady who helped me to my car was the shining moment with this car.
Cons: The car smelled of cigarette smoke. I didn't realize it until I had pulled out of the garage, and it was too late. It was the most basic model of some kind of Kia, and it was outdated.

Reagan airport rental
Pros: There was no pressure to buy their insurance, which is unusual for car rental companies. And we got a ride to our terminal after dropping off the car. It was worth the tip to the driver.
Cons: Thrifty is now on-airport at Reagan National, but this wasn't clear on GPS or airport signage.

Pros: Car was clean and fine
Cons: Rented a car for one day and they asked me 10,000 questions. Was in town for a funeral and don't understand why that was any of their business. My husband and I have the same credit card - same exact number, we just each have our name on o e. We inadvertently swapped cards and they wouldn't let me use it. I went to use debit and they first needed to check my credit score?!, see my return flight info and see more ID. It was such a hassle.
