Cons:Thrifty charged me for what I had already paid to Kayak/Priceline. Ive basically spent $1000 on something that shouldve costed $400. I have entered talks with Priceline to have Thrifty pay me back but until then Id recommend people to avoid this stuffReviewed 10 Feb. 2021

Cons:A little confusing that the building just said Hertz. It was not easy to see that other rental cars were in the same buildingReviewed 28 Jun. 2020

Pros:It was very easy picking up and dropping off the car. The car was in good condition and clean.Cons:I feel like I got tricked into purchasing insurance twice. Since I purchased my rental through Kayak, I opted to buy their insurance since it was fairly priced. When I was picking up my car, the attendant asked for my CC and I thought it was to run it for the rest of the rental payment. Instead I was asked about basic, full, or premium insurance, in which I said I had the basic and was charged an additional $77. I didn't realize at the time that this was a separate item... I'm hoping to get a refund but wanted to make people aware of this so they don't fall for it too.Reviewed 3 Sep. 2020

Cons:The car smelled like cigarettes- just awful. I didn’t notice until I was leaving the lot & really didn’t want to stand in the long line again to get another one. Customer service was pretty bad.Reviewed 24 Jun. 2020

Bad, sexist Thrifty management at DullesPros:The shuttle to the airport was efficient and driver was friendly.Cons:The rudest customer service I've ever received, actually bordering on sexual harassment. First, I was greeted by two men at the front desk who asked about my ethnicity, then spoke and laughed each other in a foreign language. My reservation was for a standard sized SUV, but only compacts were available. One of desk persons attempted to help but could only find one other SUV that was slightly larger. When I asked about the larger size/class of vehicle I had reserved, the manager rudely inserted himself and actually raised his voice, "THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE. YOU CAN CALL CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS IF YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN." Really?!? This was the first and last time I've used Thrifty. If you're a woman traveling alone, you'll definitely want stay away from the Thrifty Rentals at Dulles.Reviewed 25 Aug. 2018

Cons:Had to reschedule my flight but Thrifty wouldn't let me reschedule the car rental. I knew it was non-refundable but I didn't want a refund, I just wanted to push it back a few weeks. Total waste of $150, I'll never use Thrifty again.Reviewed 5 Apr. 2021

Cons:The service is so slow that they only have one person working at a counter when there are three rental agencies. The line was very long, and they packed all of us in together, so they didn't care about social distancing or anything. It took forever to give us a car which Ford Focus and Chevy spark are not similarReviewed 24 May 2021
