- The internet connection was stable (I travelled to work) and sometimes it drops but in most times it allowed me to finish my work. - Thank you for waiting for me to check in even though I arrived late (past 9 pm already) - The place is close to everything I think, money changer (down stairs, food stalls around the area too) - The blankets were warm enough for me which is good - thanks for lending me an extension cord when my cord would not work because of the outlet in the room.
- I wish the towels are newer and fluffier - the 2 towels given to me is old and worn out needs to be replaced - Softer pillows please, I did not use both pillows in my room they were too hard - The bed too needs replacement (old spring) not comfy to sleep - I wish the bathroom is cleaned every day if not every other day - it is musty, maybe put on a exhaust and this is also true for the hallways maybe an exhaust or air purifier to clean the air of the smell - under the bed there a lot of accumulated dust. I stayed in room 412
The shared bathroom was not clean. The shared sinks outside the bathroom did not work. One of the beds had a very bad smell. The room has a smell, we assumed because the windows didn't open, so there was never fresh air. We never saw the host, except when we checked in. With this place, you are getting what you pay for. It may seem like you've found a deal; the pictures look very nice and the price is great. But the pictures are deceiving. You get what you pay for, no more, no less.
Close to everything
Old fashioned. Wash area dirty
Excellent location, close to nightlife and easy to get taxis to sight see.
The place was tired and would benefit from a bit of a freshen up. I don’t think the bathroom was cleaned during our 5 night stay and by the last night the shower water wasn’t draining away properly. However, the value for money at this place is incredible. Classic example of you get what you pay for and for the cost / location I’d 100% stay here again.
My friend and I had originally booked the twin room for a few days and loved it so much we ended up staying for a week and are currently on our second week here! The guesthouse is in a great location in the Old Town but still quiet at night. The room is large and has everything we need and more, including towels and a dresser to unpack our clothes. The bathroom is shared but there is one on each floor so we share it with only one other room, so we've never had an issue waiting to use it. The owner is very friendly and goes out of his way to make sure we are comfortable and enjoying our stay, and was even nice enough to recommend some events happening around. Our stay at Walkinn Guesthouse was exactly what we were looking for and will definitely return soon!
