Car was dirty, chip bags and crumbs, clothes in backseat from previous passengers. Was given one price online for insurance and another (higher) at pick up. Pick up and drop off were both quick and easy otherwise

Pros:

Pick up and drop off were quick and convenient. It was a quick walk to the lot.

Cons:

We liked the Honda CRV but the gas tank was small (12 gallons) for the amount of driving we did. We were stopping almost daily to fill up and in Alaska that requires some planning.

We pick up the car 1 hour early and I ask the guy at the counter is it ok if we take it now. He said yes, and then charged me an extra full day with telling me it would cost another full days rate to take it early. So be careful when doing business with Avis in Fairbanks! They are not very honest so use caution and pay attention to the fine prints.

Did not receive the class of car I reserved, and the vehicle was in poor shape. Budget refused to make things right, once again. I still had to pay for an SUV even though I was downgraded to a smaller vehicle.

I reserved a mid-size SUV but when I arrived at the pickup counter, only a compact car was available. Budget refused to adjust the price accordingly, and I was still charged for the SUV. The car I received was dirty, contained garbage (including a used mask!) from the previous user, and had a warning light / notification that I had to look at all week. The tires were also pretty worn out which made driving in the rain precarious. This will be my last time renting with Budget, because I always end up having an issue with my rental, and they are never willing to make things right.

Said they Didn’t have a truck for me when I got to the counter even though I had booked it a week before. made other arrangements went back to cancel my booking and the girl who told me there was no trucks was holding 3 sets of truck keys as told to her by the other agent next to her and then she tried to lie about it to me. Worst experience ever. Fairbanks agent is a liar and tried to get her other agents to lie with her.

Pros:

The people in Fairbanks were wonderful! The car we rented was not at the airport, so we asked the airport Enterprise if there was a shuttle. The young man at the airport went above and beyond. He called the other station and had someone come pick us up. He then came out and checked on us twice to see if we had been picked up. Then Jesse picked us up and was very friendly. There were a shortage of cars so he gave us an upgrade for free. Everyone we dealt with was so pleasant and accommodating. The young lady in Anchorage when we turned in the car at the airport was also very cheerful and kind.

Cons:

We really had a great experience. Nothing negative to say at all.

Nothing. I suppose if I had encountered a problem, that would have put Enterprise to the test, seeing how they handled it.

The lady at the counter was friendly and polite. And very apologetic.

Cons:

My reservation did not work. Hertz did not have any cars available even though Kayak decided they would book my reservation anyway and make me think I had a car. I had planned for 22/day which was the rate I was given. Instead I was forced to use the only car agency that had a car available and it cost me 5x as much. $110. I will never use kayak again and I will strongly recommend others use a different site to compare rates or book. Since kayak is useless if it can’t actually book my reservation properly. It’s -20F in Alaska , that’s where I am. And I was forced to overpay for a rental, in any other situation I would have walked but sadly my hands were tied in this situation. 0/5 very poor quality site and poor quality service. I recommend people do not use this site any chance I can now. Which is often since I work in Customer Service and Tourism.
