Cons: The facilities were disgraceful. The restaurant and bar were non-existent. The beach was NOT within walking distance. The place is in the middle of nowhere. It costs $20 to get to or from anywhere. That's $40 round-trip!
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, Quiet setting. Ideal marina if you are arriving by boat.
Cons: Too far from town. $20 taxi ride each way to town. No breakfast, restaurant or bar facilities.
Pros: Hospitality was excellent
Pros: Staff was quite nice. Hotel was clean. Seemed like a good place for boat travelers as there was a marina on site. Bikes were free to use, as well as kayaks. It was a quick bike ride down to the beach.
Cons: Not that I didn't like it, but it seemed a bit out of the way, and not walking distance to any restaurants, etc. We ordered pizza in - we were only there for one night.
Pros: very friendly and honest staff, clean, located less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, very safe neighbourhood
Pros: It was in a quiet area.
Cons: The ad of the hotel online does not truly meet what is to be expected on the actual hotel site. There is NO Restaurant on hotel property. The hotel is very dated. Unless you have a car the convenience store is about 30-40 minutes away from the hotel.
Sunrise Resort & Marina puts you just 5 mi (8 km) from the airport and 5.7 mi (9.2 km) from Port Lucaya Marketplace. You can get a workout in at the 24-hour fitness center or take a dip in the outdoor pool. A marina and free bike rentals are other highlights, and rooms offer refrigerators and premium bedding.
Pros: The room is very spacious with an awesome room view
Cons: No complaints
I would definitely stay at this inn again they were the nicest people we meet on the island! The service and hospitality were the best of any hotel I've stayed at ( and I've stayed at my fair share).
Pros: The staff was by far the best part about this hotel, not only were they helpful they were genuinely nice people!
Cons: The hotel rooms were definitely just average nothing special rooms
Overall the rooms were less welcoming than I had hoped. While it was obvious they had been refreshed some in recent years, the furniture was old and worn. The refrigerator and spare pillow were both disgustingly dirty and did not instill confidence in the rest of the room. The staff and restaurant were both highlights as they were kind and always helpful. While not cheap, this hotel is significantly cheaper than surrounding resorts. If you are looking for a reasonable price for a place to stay in Freeport, the Bell Channel Inn is a good choice. Just know going in that it is not fancy and you'll have to be flexible on the room condition.
Pros: Our room had a balcony with a nice view and the free wifi was appreciated. The Upstairs Restaurant was very welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was extremely good on all of our visits. For us, the restaurant was the highlight of this hotel.
Cons: Furniture was old and covered in plastic and the bed sagged in the middle and was not particularly comfortable. While expected, internet speeds were very slow. Loud music outside each night until after midnight.
When you stay at Bell Channel Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Port Lucaya Marketplace. The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Upstairs on the Bay, which serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a beach shuttle are other highlights, and rooms offer furnished balconies or patios and refrigerators.

This Freeport, Bahamas resort offers spacious apartments, suites, and townhouses. All have balconies or patios facing the marina, along with fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. Complimentary cribs (infant beds) are available on request.
Very friendly staff and locals. We felt very comfortable. The laundry machine was broken and they did our laundry at the housekeeping room. Away from the tourist spot, and we preferred it that way. Cheap and easy to take a bus to Lucayan market. Need to take a bus to the beach. The pool was clean and deep. Jacuzzi at times not so hot. A/C wouldn't work at times. Very accommodating staff. They care! It was a pleasant stay.
Pros: Clean, green, friendly staff. Walking distance to a local movie theater. Bus stop across. Burger King and Pollo tropical restaurants within 2 min walk. Located in the heart of Grand Bahamas.
Cons: Extremely Loud music from the night club next to the hotel every night until 5 am. Everything else met our expectations. Slow restaurant service.
Cons: very small towels.....noisy AC
Pros: Great location , affordable prices!
Cons: Everything was good.
Pros: the staffs were very professional
Cons: the room in the A section was full of roaches. i complained to the front desk and they sent us to the B section
Easy walking distance and central location, close to restaurants, movies, mini food store, local Club, gas station and a movie cinema.
Pros: Staff was very pleasant.Environment was tranquil and clean.
Cons: I would've love a coffee pot or microwave in my room.
Royal Islander Hotel puts you just 2.9 mi (4.7 km) from the airport and within a 15-minute drive of Port Lucaya Marketplace. The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Crown Restaurant, which serves international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other features include a poolside bar and a spa tub.
Pros: The beach was nice when they raked the seaweed.
Cons: The resort could use some major renovations. The food was terrible even the food in on-resort restaurants that require reservations.
Most of the activities and shows at the resort were themed or focused on another culture, which was odd, since we were on the culture-rich island of the Bahamas.
We weren't comfortable and definitely didn't leave feeling relaxed. If you can stay somewhere else, DO IT.
Located on the southern coast of Grand Bahama, it is the only all-inclusive resort on the island and stands on 26-acres of prime beachfront property. Twenty minutes from Freeport International Airport, 15 minutes from downtown Freeport and the International Bazaar and Casino, and 10 miles from Port Lucaya Marketplace.
Cons: Room had wet spot in carpet most likely from rain that came down in wall. Outside Grill shut down due to rain. Should have larger overhang to stay open during these little storms.
Pros: then who cares about the others
Cons: the mattresses of the beds and the staff of the reception needs training.
Pros: The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent! The resort is located near a gorgeous beach and Port Lucaya is a two minute walk away from the main entrance.
Cons: The housekeepers forgot to replace our wash towels twice during our brief stay. The queue for checkout was ridiculously long. When I finally got to the front the front desk agent took thirty seconds with me. I would expect more efficient service for the price.
Pros: View from 9th floor ocean view room was beautiful. Resort is quite big and didn't feel overcrowded. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Additional perks (complementary snack and drinks each evening) for guests staying on 9th and 10th floor we're great and increased feel of luxury.
Pros: The room was large and airy. Well appointed. Terrace was large and had nice views of ocean and land. Staff was friendly and helpfull, attentive. Good value.
Cons: Bathroom needs updating. After a heavy storm water was coming in through the ceiling light in the shower. Not good. Otherwise, the room was great.

Pros: The pools and the ferry to the beach. Nice location peaceful and pleasant. Need the government to do something about the ferry arrivals area and tidy up the taxis. Gives a shocking impression and makes Grand Bahamas look like a third world country. It is the businesses that need better support!
Cons: The regimentation of your agents. Some people like to make a decision on how to get to and leave the island without being forced into psckages that don't work. The boat from Fort Lauderdale is particularly bad.
Pros: Pelican Bay Hotel is ideally located beside the Lucaya Market with many excellent restaurants and souvenir shops. The best rooms are the king suites on the fourth floor with a sea view. Hotel guests are given a pass for the water taxi to Taino Beach. The beautiful beach is a five minute walk away.
Cons: We were at this hotel for two weeks. On the majority of mornings, the buffet breakfast was very good with fresh fruit salad and custom omelets and various breads, etc. However, on the days that Liz was not supervising, both the service and food were extremely limited.

Pros: The access to Taino Beach was great. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Make sure to stop by and chat with Big Momma! She'll make you feel like family.
Cons: There is no access to anything except the one restaurant on Taino Beach. You have to take the ferry or taxi to any shopping or dining. If you want to be in the mix with the locals and other tourists, this is not the place for you.
Pros: You have full use of the swimming pool at Taino Beach resort, across the street. It is also right beside the ferry to the Port Lucaya Marketplace sheets & comforters in good condition. Convenience store on site.
Cons: Hotel is in a bad state of disrepair. Shower faucet was detached from wall. Kitchen sink faucet was loose. Toilet ran continuously. Kitchenette was very poorly equipped. Just 2 mugs, 3 plates, 2 knives & 4 spoons. Had to ask 3 times for forks.
Everything you want to do can be done from this hotel. There is always something planned at Taino Beach and all you have to do is walk across the street to catch a bus and they have a lot of tours for you.
