The scheduled car pick up point was closed, thanks to hotel staff on duty, they guide us to the another Sixt car pick up point near by. I think it's good to inform us by email where is the correct car pick up point, when the scheduled car pick up point is closed. Thanks.

the staff was ok.

Cons:

the drop off in Venice is nearly impossible to find. there are no signs or indications to find the stand that is inside a parking lot. we lost one and a half hours to find it and had to ask 8 different people.

The personnel were all incredibly nice and helpful!

Cons:

The instructions for drop-off could have been clearer. We had the address to the office and then had to go to the ramp--that was confusing and inconvenient. It would be better to give the address to the ramp.

Great help from friendly clerk at pick up. Car shifted poorly and lagged to accelerate. Drop off was hard to find at Frankfurt Airport. Google maps shows only rental car return, located at Terminal 2. Attendant at Terminal 2 sent me to Terminal 1. To reach Terminal 1 Rental Car Return, you must drive in the same single lane as ALL other cars going to pick people up on the Arrivals level. There was an airport parking attendant at the round about, letting cars through one at a time, as space became available at the Arrivals level. I, and all other rental cars, had to wait in line with all the other vehicles before we could finally access the Return Area. It took well over 25 minutes, and I watched over 100 cars get let through, 1 at a time, until my turn. I will never rent a car into Frankfurt Terminal 1 again.

I’ve never rented a car that didn’t have unlimited mileage and we went over with Sixt. Just driving from where we picked up the car to where we dropped it off was close to the allotted mileage. The staff at both ends were fabulous. Very kind and helpful.

The experience was terrible and I will never again use Avis. The car size I reserved 7 months ahead of time. They wanted to give me a much smaller car that would not have worked for our family of 5. I thus had to rent from Sixt car rental and pay last minute price that was more than 3 times the rate reserved for the Avis car. This is pathetic customer service

The team at Avis was nice and efficient. Great help and patience with all questions asked. Also, got way better car than what we have ordered for no extra charge. Will do business with them again if opportunity present itself.

The car was very good.

Cons:

I reserved a car for a day and scheduled to pick it up at 9:00am. When I got there at 9:00, they said they didn't have any cars but they should get one in 1-2 hours. I asked them to call me when they had a car, which they did as I was leaving the other location in my rental car. I looked online to see if there was another location that had any cars and found one at the main train station in Munich. I walked over to it and rented one. It was 10:30 when I got there and it was 11:00 before I left, plus there were additional fees. Had to upgrade to a larger car and a 20 euro train station fee. No map on the location or driving instruction on how to get back. Plus the after hours return instruction were very poor. I had a trouble understanding their English and got charged for the insurance that I didn’t want. The staff in the parking decks were not very friendly, like I was bothering them. I’m not 100% sure they were even the company employees because they didn’t have a name tag or uniform on but they were the only people I saw in the parking deck. Be careful driving the parking deck because it has very narrow up and down ramps.

- Parking garage for drop-off is at least a quarter of a kilometer from the actual Budget store. This was never clearly explained anywhere. - The store location has only street parking on a very narrow street. Good luck finding a spot if you have questions about dropping off your vehicle. - After wasting 20 minutes trying to find the drop-off garage, I finally got an employee to ride with me to the lot. Despite having no other customers, they were very hesitant to help me with this. - The lot was not well-marked and extremely tight. You have to drive several levels down to find the Budget area. - I have a "MISCELLANEOUS" $200 charge that no one at Budget can explain to me. My complaint has been filed and it has been 3 weeks with no resolution in sight.
