The rental car desk person was great. The issues started when the car barely started. I figured that if had not been driven for some time and we had to rush to get to our hotel (40 miles) to put our baby down for the night, the next morning the car barely started after several attempts, with noises very typical of a dead battery, Called Hertz and they told us to head back to where we picked up the car for an exchange and confirmed they had sufficient inventory. When we got there, the person at the desk told us she was a dozen cars short for the day and couldn’t do anything for us. She told us that the nearest place that might have enough cars was 2 hours away. So we had to keep the car running all day, and sweat every time we had to turn it off for the rest of our 3 day trip. All in all, disappointing.Reviewed 18 Feb 2025
