Pros: Quiet location, less than 10 minute walk from the main harbor and center of town, Excellent home-prepared breakfast. Interesting building with different rooming options. Very attentive staff with good recommendations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a beautiful retreat! The gardens and cosy spaces were perfect for relaxing! Brilliant breakfast every morning and very friendly staff. Our room was a split level loft and was extremely spacious and comfortable not a lot of natural light but we spent most of our time outdoors anyway :)
Cons: Would have been nice to have breakfast slightly earlier than 9am as we were ready to go exploring :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the jacuzzi and the amazing service
Cons: Nothing, staff was very helpful and welcoming!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely restored mansion. Room was spacious and comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a family suite. It felt elegant and comfortable. Nice toiletries, linens and pillows. Not too far from the port but a little bit of a walk.
Cons: Wasn’t anything we didn’t like, however our bedroom was up in the loft and the bathroom was downstairs. But, not all rooms are this way and it is a converted mansion I’m sure some layouts are a Awkward. But that didn’t take away the wonderfulness of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was excellent and conveniently located. The staff was both friendly and helpful, giving us advice that helped us enjoy the island.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the historic preservation and the attention to detail within the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the location was easy to get to and from the port.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cotommatae has the authentic feel of serene elegance with a fresh and modern feel. Well styled and considered, it’s my by far my favorite hotel experience on Hydra. The bed was extremely comfortable and the property is just far away from the port that it was very quiet and peaceful. Yiannis and the staff were warm, friendly and very professional. We loved it.
Cons: Nothing at all. I loved the whole experience.

Pros: Nereids was truly excellent. Would definitely visit again!!! :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet and had character. The owners were kind and gracious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nereid’s was located 5 minutes walk from the port, but was so quiet and peaceful. The staff were fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were big, and comfortable and I opted for a room with a sea view which was worth the small extra sum of money. It was beautiful waking up and looking out to the sea from the bed! There are many terraces from which to choose from, and you can bring your own food and eat breakfast on your own terrace and gaze at the view. The room was in a classic stone Hydra house, with bare stone walls inside, lots of space, a fridge, jug and a good bathroom. All in all a great choice!
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It has excellent views from the top of the town. It is only 400 metres from the harbour. There is a lovely patio.
Cons: We had some difficulty getting the water directed to the shower head
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and super clean. Outside many sitting areas to enjoy the view.
Cons: None
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views of both the harbour and the mountains. We felt really amongst nature. A perfectly traditional room, with enough modern elements without compromising the atmosphere. Nice bathrooms. Excellent ‘filoxenia’ and we felt that we were staying in a family home. We can’t wait to visit again.
Cons: That, despite extending our stay, we couldn’t stay even longer... :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had really wonderful stay at Nereids Guesthouse. The location is perfect - in a quiet surroundings, but just a short walk from the harbour. The room was very cosy and clean. The view from the terrace was amazing! Very nice and helpful owners. We highly recommend the place.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The room was so beautiful it made me giddy. Made me feel like a princess.
Cons: We arrived when it was pouring down rain and got a little lost on the way. The signs got us close, but a clearer sign on the home itself would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attractive and thoughtfully restored building in quieter part of town , but a very short walk to all places of interest. Run by unobtrusive but friendly and helpful people.

Pros: We loved the opportunity to receive the excellent hospitality of a traditional boutique hotel with a gourmet breakfast that was served with great care from the hosts themselves, who prepared daily surprises with upmost attention to detail. We will be returning soon.
Cons: _____
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Variety, taste and quality all very good. The orange drink should be replaced with fresh squeezed orange juice.
Cons: The hostess could have been a lot friendlier. She was professional but coldly so.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: You have to turn on a water heater tank switch 20 minutes before taking shower. Maybe buffet style breakfast is better? Staff were busy serving and cleaning tables. We all need quiet relaxing atmosphere. I would just let the customers to do in breakfast.

Pros: The friendly staff. They were all wonderful . We booked the studio on the very top of the building our mother had some difficulty going up the stairs,we asked if they had a one bedroom and without any questions or hesitation they moved our mother to the 1st floor. My sister and I were relieved and our mother was much happier. Excellent care of each customer.would differently recommend ! Terri( not Tim)
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay in beaitifull Hydra Island. Building is fantastic, room is so nice and owners are kind and proffessional. Garden and interior of the building is amazing. You feel like you are staying in an old mansion (probably it is), room is so clean and well designed. Bathroom is big enough and fresh. Our room was facing to village and view was amazing. You can listen the sound of village day&night. You need to walk 3-4 minutes from the port but it's better than staying in crowded port area. Also you will find a chance to travel around the Hydra village which is full of cats and beaitifull houses. Finally, one of the best thing of this hotel is it's breakfast. It's the best breakfast i had in Greece and maybe some other countries too. They serve you all the breakfast and you will feel like a special vip guest. Also it's so delicious, they cook everything inhouse. It's fress and delicious. You can stay in this hotel just for it's breakfast :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Good location, close to the ferry. Nice patio to sit for breakfast. View was very good from the room. Staff very helpful.

Cons: A kettle in the room would be great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A little off the beaten path, but just enough to be away from the bustle of the port. I was welcomed with open arms and knowledgeable staff. Even helped me make accommodations for my early departure back to Athens, since there was an impending transpo strike on the horizon Absolute Fabulous breakfast buffet!
7.0 Good
Pros: The location 150 m from the port, the building itsself (old captain house) , the history of the building and the forthcoming people serving
6.7 Good
Pros: Loved the location, not right on the busy port, but not too far away from the center of town. Also loved the building, an old Hydriot mansion, and its front garden. Finally, I found the staff extremely helpful, friendly, and good-spirited.
Cons: I think that the breakfast served could do with an update, even within a tight budget. Also the cleanliness, could do with a little more attention to detail. But then again, I am a very-detailed oriented person, so I guess I can see a lot of things as a housewife, that other people cannot.
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful old grand residence. Spotless. Competent and efficient front desk. Nice big rooms with very high classic- style ceilings. Right in the centre and 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and dozens of restaurants.Perfect location

Pros: Good situated hotel with charming common areas and beautiful yard. Our room was large and clean, but quite dark and old-fashioned.
Cons: The breakfast was quite poor.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Great interior design, central location, always clean room
Cons: They should have better breakfast buffet ( it was really poor) and they should consider renovating the bathroom ( roasted tabs and metal parts) as well as buying new towels ( they were clean but extremely hard)
6.8 Good
Pros: The courtyard was very charming as were the common areas. The staff was very friendly. The view from my room was beautiful and at times lively (but the shutters were effective in blocking the noise when I wanted to sleep).
Cons: There was no overhead shower mount -- it's kind of hard to take a shower with only one hand free since you're holding the sprayer.
5.2 Okay
Pros: A nice charming hotel situated in a quite part of the town of Hydra. It is in a 100 metres walking distance from the old port of Hydra. An old mansion renovated with its tranditional style well preserved. Most importantly, to reach there, there are no steps to climb. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Rooms' interior is not as charming as the rest of the common areas of the building. Yet they are quiet and clean.
6.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful building with a nice courtyard. Great location, quiet, clean and close to the bustling Hydra harbour.
Cons: Rather spartan, poor breakfast.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast in the courtyard every day - superb choice, very prompt service and lovely food. The location is ideal as you are within easy access of the port area but sufficiently distant to be unaffected by any noise emanating therefrom. I must however highlight the staff in the hotel. Unfortunately I had a fall when hiking in the mountains of Hydra which was exceedingly painful. The staff of the hotel could not of been more helpful, accompanying me to the hospital, obtaining prescription drugs for me and generally making sure that I had everything I might possibly need. Thank you so much for all your help - I appreciated it so much.
Cons: Not applicable

Cons: I didn't find an English speaking channel on the tv; fruit at breakfast was not as ripe as in small local stores, a list in the room of some restaurants, grocery stores, wine/liquor store(s), available tours would be nice (perhaps a merchants' association should provide one to the hotels).

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stayed at Pension Erofili for a single night. Forgot to notify the property that we have a baby coming with us, but it wasn't a problem, they quickly organized a baby cot to be put in the room. The next day, when we planned to leave, there was a strike and boats to Athens didn't run. The nice lady from the reception organized a minibus for us from Peloponnese to Athens, so we caught another boat to Peloponnese and managed to get to Athens without problems. When leaving, we forgot a bag with a present, and when we were boarding the boat to Peloponnese, we saw the lady from the reception running towards us with our bag! I cannot compliment enough the staff!

Pros: Lovely little room very near the port with a small balcony. The hotel couldn’t have been easier to find. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony.
Cons: The bathroom was quite tight and the toilet seat wasn’t attached to the toilet. Loud drilling and hammering in the room below us started very early (8:45am) which wouldn’t be a problem if you get up early anyway.

Pros: A beautifully designed hotel, with efficient friendly staff and wonderful facilities And a great breakfast.

Pros: We had a family suite. It felt elegant and comfortable. Nice toiletries, linens and pillows. Not too far from the port but a little bit of a walk.
Cons: Wasn’t anything we didn’t like, however our bedroom was up in the loft and the bathroom was downstairs. But, not all rooms are this way and it is a converted mansion I’m sure some layouts are a Awkward. But that didn’t take away the wonderfulness of the hotel.

Cons: Nothing at all. I loved the whole experience.
