Style, room layout, facilities
So many extra costs that weren't included in the room fee. Fridge didn't have any space to hold our own items.
Great location with food shake shack just downstairs and walk to the bookstore and macy’s
Personal privacy is not as good as Freehand Chicago, as in there, you can have a curtain for your bed.
Pool, style, en suite shared rooms, layout and quality of design and care and tiles in shared rooms, made one feel less like in a hostel, did I mention pool? The bars and cafes also nice. Very friendly staff.
Couldn't get through to hotel via phone. Deeply frustrating. Ridiculous actually. Also, i got stuck in the elevator and when pressed help, it went to the same auto system which is dangerous, unsafe, and unacceptable.
Freehand was pleasantly a cut above any hostel available in LA. In fact I dare say it's a new kind of hotel and setting a trend to come. Thank you!
I lost my wallet and credit cards. It was a real hassle to deal with this in today's age of "you must use a credit card" even though I had more than enough cash to pay 5 times over.
We loved the little touches, and the gorgeous old Hollywood feel!
Would have been nice to do some night time swimming, but the pool closed too early and my kids were not allowed on roof after 8 due to bar.
