Pros: We were there during the holiday season & the lobby was so beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree, gingerbread village, & holiday singers. The room was very quiet, clean, comfortable. The bathroom however is TINY. You literally have to straddle the toilet to use the makeup mirror. The staff was super friendly. The sit down restaurant off the lobby was absolutely delicious & very reasonably priced. My only disappointment was that I had made my reservations months ago & others in our party who had made reservations directly with the hotel last minute, got a holiday deal which was much cheaper & included breakfast.

Pros: Great location. I remember going to the Peabody with my grandparents when I was a child and it's a classic. Loved motion sensor lights below the bedside tables to help direct me at night. Nice room, in general.
Cons: I attempted to check in at 3:15. First, there was no record of my stay for that night . . . they had me booked for Sunday instead of Saturday. This may not be the hotel's fault. The staff was nice and they fixed it, but then I had to wait THREE hours to get in my room. I had somewhere to be, so this involved leaving my luggage on a cart in the hotel and hoping for the best. I was pretty miffed. I complained when I was in the lobby bar getting a drink, though, and the nice server (manager?) took care of my bar tab, so that was nice. Apparently it was an overbooked weekend. It was definitely chaotic.

Pros: Very central and convenient location - many historical sites, restaurants and bars walkable from the hotel
Cons: Awful service all around - room service, cleaning staff, lobby bar, etc. All provided VERY slow service (i.e., did not turn over our room until almost 8pm at night, never provided clean towels despite calling twice, room service took almost 2 hours despite being told it would be less than an hour). Repeatedly told incorrect or wrong information (i.e., asked about where to buy a tshirt that we saw in a case in the lobby and was told the store doesn't exist, even though it's around the corner from the hotel, was told check out was 11am but it's 12pm)

Pros: Lovely historic hotel in an ideal location. Walking distance to the Mississippi River, to Bealle Street and many good restaurants.

Pros: Our room was on the 10th floor, on the Mississippi River side of the hotel, so we have an absolutely FABULOUS view of the sunset on the river. It was phenomenal. Pros: The lodge was beautiful and the amenities top notch.
Cons: The staff charged us a parking fee (per day) for both rooms when we only had ONE VEHICLE. When we tried to explain this to the staff, her reply was that she couldn't do anything because the room was booked thru hotel.com. This to me was unacceptable. A rip off.

Pros: We loved the theme and atmosphere of the room and Theo common spaces. Our room had a balcony complete with rocking chairs, and we loved the big jet tub and other amenities.
Cons: The room was not very quiet. We could clearly hear our neighbors when they were speaking, and they started setting up in one or the meeting spaces across the hall at 6 am and it was loud enough that we couldn’t go back to sleep.

Pros: The staff was great. During breakfast, I noticed employees going out of their way to assist guests. They were polite and their generosity felt sincere, like they wanted to go above and beyond. Though the hotel was under construction, it was clean and taken care of.
Cons: On the downside, I did have to take a lukewarm shower that got on the cooler side a few times. I'm not sure if there were too many people using the water at one time but even if that was the case, I expect that there should of been no issues with getting warm/hot water. The actual bathroom with the toilet/tub was a little tight but it was clean and had everything we needed.

Pros: The staff were all very friendly, especially Timothy and Rocky, the manager. They went our of their way to connect with us, give us tips on restaurants and information about Memphis. It was a pleasure to meet them!
Cons: I'd like the hotel to be more environmentally aware. For example, they should offer the option of not having the housekeeping staff change towels every day. They have large bars of soap that would take at least a month to use up with regular use that, I assume, are just thrown away after checkout. Many hotels are now using foaming soap. They provide a plastic straw with drinks, even with orange juice in the morning. Millions of these end up in landfills every day in this country. Perhaps they could consider not providing any straws unless the customer requests one. These kinds of small but important changes would save them money and make our environment a little cleaner.

Cons: It's a shame. The hotel is really nice, but the lightbulbs they've chosen to put in the rooms make them feel like a morgue. The CFLs put out this nasty blue light that is unsettling. Cons: No electric vehicle hookups. Valet is $26/night but no setup for EV charging. Because of this would not have stayed there if was not part of a group booking.

Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: For the price I paid for a a club king room, I expected more. I have been in hampton inns who can compete with the room I stayed in. If they lower the price I wouldnt have had anything to complain about but for the prie I paid a night, it is not worth it

Pros: Staff was friendly and rooms were clean.
Cons: Only 2 elevators worked; felt the price was a bit much for what was offered, considering the hotel charges extra for breakfast and for parking.

Pros: We had a corner room with a beautiful view of the Memphis bridge. The bed was comfy and the staff was great. Access to the club on the 19th floor was nice with delectable food served all day. We will definitely stay here again.
Cons: It could have quieter in our room but very nice anyway.

Pros: Great location and access to the trolley for transportation to entertainment.
Cons: At the time of our stay, the hotel was undergoing a renovation, which was a bit inconvenient, but the staff made up for it.

Pros: Staff was wonderful
Cons: Parking- You either agree to pay roughly $28a day to valet or are forced to park in a public shady pay per day lot across the street.

Pros: The location for a cook convention center graduation was perfect. There was ample room in the lobby for family and friends to meet and talk. The staff was very helpful and the area was safe.
Cons: Parking can expensive over a weekend stay. There is ample street parking adjacent to the hotel, but it also puts car at risk of theft. This location also requires you to drive to almost all attractions in the city not in the cook convention center.

Pros: nothing good
Cons: the worst experience ever in SPG/Marriott hotel. the staffs are lazy. I can not feel and warm hospitalit and only not welcome. sucks.

Pros: It was a very pretty hotel in the lobby, pool, and gym area.
Cons: The staff was not friendly, the bathrooms were dirty, and the comforter was stained. When I talked to the staff about it they were very rude.
Welcome to the Holiday Inn Downtown Memphis! We are located in the heart of the Beale Street Entertainment District. Just steps away from some of the biggest attractions Memphis has to offer. Walk across the street to see the famous Duck March or grab your baseball caps and stroll across the block to the Redbirds stadium for a game.

Pros: I left my, very expensive wireless earbuds charging in the room. I didn't realize this until I had already checked in for my flight. I called the front desk where Treneese too my call. They found them and shipped them to me. I can tell you that many times I've left things in my room, this is the first time the item hasn't magically disappeared. Thanks for having integrity.

Cons: We didn't have hot water, even after telling the staff at the front desk eight hours before we tried again.
"Located in Downtown Memphis, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of AutoZone Park, FedEx Forum and Beale Street. Orpheum Theatre and Renasant Convention Center are also within 1 mi (2 km). Memphis Central Station is 19 minutes by foot. "

Pros: I did not stay in this hotel because when I called the Doubletree on Oct 14, I was told I did not have a reservation and I never had one. I can only assume that the entire process was some sort of SCAM and i will NEVER use your service again. I have filed a complaint with American Express and I will make certain ALL of my friends know about this SCAM.

Pros: Mattress and linen was amazing! Best night's sleep I've had in a while!
Cons: Getting in to valet park was a little crowded and had to wait but well worth the wait!

Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: Water pressure was nearly non existent and very little hot water. Also, a .20 bottle of complimentary water would go a long way to being more hospitable (maybe I could have washed my hair with one!). The restaurant/bar is a TGI Friday’s (check out their Yelp reviews). I went in and the entire place smelled like human feces, seriously it was disgusting, I had to leave after 15 seconds.

Pros: The price was reasonable, overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. There is a Friday's restaurant inside which makes for a nice option. The pool is small but clean and adequate. The front desk people were very helpful.
Cons: The bathtub drain was clogged and slow to drain so one ended standing in quite a bit of sudsy water when showering. I did let them know at checkout; hopefully they fixed it for the next guests.

Pros: The location, the room was clean.
Cons: The room was humid, also bathroom ceiling was peeling and had slight water damage. Items in room (lamps, etc), seemed to be placed there and didn't really have a function (lamp missing bulb, only obe night stand, etc). Also the decor and color choices made the room feel dated and unwelcoming.
Okay
4.5
Pros: The central location was nice, although it had its downsides. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The location near Beal Street and across from Autozone Park meant that there was hardly a quiet moment during the night. The noisy drunk folks were not only outside making noise in the streets, but also inside the hotel. I asked for earplugs around 1am, but the hotel provided me with cheap headphones instead. If you stay here and would like to sleep, I'd recommend asking for a room away from the street.

Pros: Friendly staff, accommodating, great customer service!!
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms needs improvement, and bathrooms need a bit remodeling. Bathtub tile was dirty and old, fixtures were old, paint on door was peeling off.

Cons: I was on the 10th floor by the elevators and heard compressor noises all night long - horrible.

Pros: ONly a few blocks walk from the hub of downtown music scene. Hotel is clean and the receiption was very quick and helpful. TGF is attached to the hotel but service was aweful. Much better places to eat downtown. Room was old but clean and bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night. The main lobby is quite nice and very open. Attractively decorated. Parking is Valet and secure or you can park down the street but it is not secure.
Cons: The price for the type of room we had. Obviously the rates are high because of the location but don’t expect it to look like a Marriotte or the convienences of one. No safe in the room. Other wise for an overnight stay it was fine.

Pros: Brilliant location, a warm cookie welcome and superb staff especially Jemeya Jefferson and the Friday's team. (Also a good healthy breakfast to be had there).
Cons: Place is a little worn but will soon be undergoing renovation.
