A great choice for a stay in Nassau, The Island House is just 4.2 mi (6.7 km) from the airport. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body scrubs, or facials, and Shima, one of 3 restaurants, serves Asian cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. There are 2 bars/lounges and an outdoor pool, and rooms at this upscale hotel get the details right with premium bedding and designer toiletries.
Cons: - cannot have guests over
- must where plastic wristband , 24/7
- unfriendly staff
- Over-priced , for quality of hotel
- a/c in room , did not work well.
Pros: Location to Atlantis
Cons: The hotel was closing for much needed renovations on the last day of my trip and things were a mess. Place is in a great location but old and they let too many locals come in. They took most of the food at lunch and really made a mess of things. Terrible experienced
Pros: Certain staff very cordial and polite.
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms. No phone provided during stay.
Smoking on a non smoking floor. No shuttle to and from hotel to airport. Non accomodating front desk personnel.

Pros: We were looking for a small hotel with a bar and restaurant onsite, on a beach with not a lot of people. A place we could relax for a few days. Compass point delivered on all of this and better. Food was better than expected and there are a couple of restaurants across the street. The beaches were near empty every day we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we had (sea view) was well air conditioned and comfortable. We had a great time.
Cons: No cons
At Compass Point Beach Resort, you can spend time at the beach enjoying beach umbrellas, beach massages, and sun loungers, plus you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cable Beach. The outdoor pool is perfect for guests looking for a bit of fun, while those in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, detox wraps, and aromatherapy. Offering ocean views, Compass Point Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A poolside bar and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale resort offer up nice touches like iPod docks, bathrobes, and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: Hotel was terrible. Staff was rude and unhelpful about everything. Rooms and facilities are motel quality are best. Food was literally uneatable. Don't waste your time or money on this one. Not much less expensive than Atlantis beach tower, which is better option.
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms walking distance to ferries iand excess to Atlantis.
Cons: Breakfast and Wi-Fi included as well as access to Atlantis .
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious, comfortable, we had single king bed, plenty of pillows and extra blankets available. Small room refrigerator worked fine. Excellent internet special on room through Orbitz, but $60 per day in added fees (these were disclosed on web, no surprises). Cheaper to get rooms than pay daily rate for Atlantis facilities, use of Atlantis allowed day of sign-in and sign-out.
Cons: Breakfast adequate, nothing exciting. Plain white bagels, the usual scrambled eggs and self-bake waffles, limited fruit and juice. Would like healthier and more diverse options.
Pros: The access to Atlantis resort. Excellent location. Wi-Fi available. Modern rooms with all conveniences you may need. Ability for quick check-out on last day.
Cons: Breakfast was not fantastic and not really large enough venue for serving breakfast for so many people; room was not serviced while I was there; there were additional charges ($20 a day for energy + service + 20% tax) I had not realized I would have to pay until I got to the hotel (my fault for not checking but still a nasty surprise), check-in only at 3pm (quite late) although the hotel has a luggage storage room and they were kind enough to provide the pass to Atlantis so one could wait there until 3pm. For me, staying in a hotel with so many rooms is a bit impersonal when there are charming, characterful hotels across in New Providence but I had made that choice for something different.
Pros: Good location on the island
Pros: Day pass to atlantis included
Cons: Everything ok

Pros: We loved the staff. everyone was very accommodating. the food was excellent and all of the servers were great!! The pools were awesome
and so was the beach!! We loved the private Island. The water was beautiful.
Cons: We wished that the private island was open later than 4:00PM.
We were told that they stocked Bacardi Rum, but they did not.
The Piano Bar should be open later than 11:00PM.
That way you could have the loud music at Crickets and the Piano music for the other crowds.
We were told by the reception when checking in that they would stock our room with alcohol, but this never happened. It would have been nice to have a cocktail in the room.
The butlers would reserve all of the chairs for guests, but we noticed everyday that many of the chairs were never used, so other guests could not get a good seat.

Pros: I did not like anything. i paid and booked on Kayak and they did not hold a room!
Cons: Did you hear me? in another country with no room! Can you imagine, paying, flying to another country during their peak season and not having a room? To make it more insane, I called and spent 27 minutes on the phone with Kayak and they still have not processed a refund. They actually have a note in the system that confirms the hotel does not have a room and have yet to process a refund as they are waiting on the hotel to confirm..... again..... 100% the worst travel experience i have had.
Pros: Unique hotel with a nice deck with a great view of the ocean. The room was clean.
Cons: The hotel advertised a restuarant yet when we got there after a long day of travel we found it was closed on Sunday. We asked what was around and was told we had to take either a 15 min/$$ taxi ride to town and try to find something or walk down to the beach about 15mins in the dark to another hotel's restuarant! Neither were good opinions. The girl at the desk was not helpful at all, giving us no suggestions. Our room was clean but the lock was broken on the French doors leading to the shared balcony (a big wrap porch that circled the whole building), the lamp by the side of the bed was broken, falling off the wall, no air conditioning and the ceiling fan didn't work. We walked through the "garden" and the small pool looked more like a pond! Green! This was only a one night stay to be close to the airport but it was way to much money for what we got!
A Stone's Throw Away puts you just 1.4 mi (2.2 km) from the airport and within a 15-minute drive of Cable Beach. Guests indulge in spa services, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. There's an outdoor pool and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer room service and free WiFi.
Pros: Always enjoy staying here...Quiet in the cut location.
Ocean West Boutique Hotel is just 2.5 mi (4 km) from the airport and offers a shuttle (available 24 hours) for USD 12.90 per room one way. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool and indulge in deep-tissue massages. There's a poolside bar and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this Victorian hotel offer flat-screen TVs and microwaves.
The hotel was very disappointing. My family was very uncomfortable and didn't feel safe. It was nothing like it was advertised!! I do NOT recommend this place if you want a Bahamian experience!
Pros: The only thing I liked was the history of the hotel. The best part was leaving!
Cons: Reception area was small. Hotel was not family friendly. Bedding and furniture was old and musty. Housekeeping sprayed the bedding down with lysol as soon as we checked into the room without being asked to. As if they knew it wasn't clean.
Location. This downtown Nassau hotel is across the street from Government House and within 1 kilometer of the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, Arawak Cay, and Haynes Oval.

Pros: Tried to get room early but was categorically told check in at 4! No discussions ! When I got to room , door was chipped, A/C didn't work properly . Beach is ok but huge construction next door . Staff overall was not very accommodating. Wouldn't come back
Cons: If you get a low rate , have a short stop over and don't care about service this is a good place

Pros: The staff are very helpful, kind, courteous. A senior couple, we needed a fridge for our meds and there was no extra charge. The breakfast buffet in Royal Towers near the Dig was superb...pricey, but Superb. Excellent maid service, early and efficient. The library is an excellent addition.
Cons: Water view was just rooftops of the Barbeque Restaurant, a wilted palm tree, and a stagnant pool of stingrays and tortoises...ocean is visible only in the distance by leaning over the balcony. Too many taxes and extra fees. No screens on patio doors. Loud bathroom fan that must be on whenever the light is on.
Pros: 1. The staff is out of this world....Love the people.
2. The other facilities and amenities.
Cons: 1. TV didn't work and was never fixed or replaced over a 3 day stay.
2. Room smelled (moldy) and yes I know it's the Bahamas.
3. Bathroom switch shorted out and all the power was gone....getting from the shower and dressed to call engineering was a trip.
4. Place is aged
5. We were greeted with left over cleaning stuff (I hope) in the toilet...made the smell worse.
Pros: Everything about the Atlantis was great.
Cons: How expensive everything was. We ate at the Buffett style restaurant and it was close to two hundred dollars for the wife and I. It was 100 for the two of us just for breakfast. It was worth it. Just make sure you budget at least a grand for food and beverages like we did for our 5 night stay.
Pros: Water park was great (slides, pool, beach), the aquarium was really cool. The food was generally good.
Cons: EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED. Service is terrible. They didn't come to clean our room for 2 days (after we complained), TV was static, mini bar empty and fridge wasn't even connected. Tip is included in everything so they don't really care about customer service. No one knows anything there. They're just there to rip you off. They kick you out of the pools before they're even supposed to close. There's practically no late dining options, everything closes at 10pm. This place is for families, there isn't any night life. Everything is dead outside by 8pm.
We made the best out of it and still had fun but will not be coming back here again. I expected a lot better for the money we paid.
Pros: I liked the fact that they had everything there, casino, clubs, food. The service was good, they treat you well ( the men treat you better than most women) .Some men who work there are so nice they call you princess.
Cons: The bathroom was making a weird sound when we first arrived, itt took them a day to fix it. That noise didn't let me sleep well for a day.. Also the food is overpriced and not that great for the price
Pros: The whole setup. Great place to vacation. Room had a wonderful view. Beaches were nice and clean. Rapid water ride was really fun for all ages. Aquarium was really nice and beautfully done. CThe entire staff was very polite and helpful.
Cons: On the down side. Food was very expensive. Not much night life. Casino machines were far to tight, so not fun to play.

Pros: Comfortable rooms, excellent food, and beautiful exotic and intimate setting
Pros: Unlimited alcohol
Cons: Everything else. The hotel's location is far from everything. The food was mediocre. The whole facility itself was very old. It is in strong need of being refurbished and they're holding off as long as they can. I definitely wouldn't stay here. Stay at the Melia! Awesome place and just got refurbished. it is also all inclusive. Trust me on this one!
Pros: Great location - beautiful white sand beach
The Staff made my stay tolerable - Great Staff always helpful and accomodating
Great WiFi signal in room!
Cons: The building needs serious updating-
the furniture, drapes, and room configuration are all outdated!
Main Dining Area furnishings are outdated
25 and older Lounge smells musty - again - needs a total overhaul.
Pros: All inclusive was awesome - food and drinks were all excellent and a great selection of choices.
Service was fantastic - all employees really cared to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Cons: The rooms and facilities are dated. Amenities in the room were old and some not working (hair dryer, smoke alarm). Everything just felt old and in need of an upgrade. But for the price it can't be beat!
Pros: The location for this property was great but that is where it ended.
Cons: Aside from the bus boy and front desk help I found the staff to be rude. Food servers did not really care that there were no cups for coffee, plates for food or anything else for that matter. The bartenders were the worst I have ever dealt with but that may have had to do with all the spring break students. While I not young anymore I really didn't mind the loud music on my floor. Of greater concern was the smell in the tower I stayed along with the air conditioner in my room that would not cool the place down. The restaurants proved to be difficult to get into which left you with the buffet. This is not a place I would ever return to.
Cons: The most I have payed for a hotel $300 a night for the worst hotel I've ever been. Food was bad the room was just a room of a 70 dollar hotel and not to mention that When they gave us the keys the first night when we open the door there was people sleeping on the room. Never ever I would stay in. BREEZES hotel again
Pros: Location from airport
Abundance of food and drink
Right on the beach
Cons: Staff was "over it", not very friendly and seemed bored with my needs.
Pros: The people their are great very friendly the food was good they made sure we had acess to food all through the day the beach is beautiful entertainment was also fun

Televisions offer U.S. cable and premium channels. Air conditioning is included.
Pros: Beautiful beach, great location on Cable Beach. Restaurants were all good for an all-inclusive resort. Would definitely recommend the all-inclusive package as everything is overpriced a-la-carte. Pools were nice as well.
Cons: Lobby and other common areas were recently renovated and are nice, but the hallways are very dingy and dark. Rooms were fine. The service was hit or miss. Some employees very responsive and friendly others on "island time" There were a lot of kids here, so I would not recommend it for a romantic getaway. Not really what i would consider a 4 star hotel, not enough attention to detail in all aspects (service, appearance). No major problems, but not an experience that blew me away either.
Pros: Nice beach, which was very clean and kept up. Location great, except lots of construction nearby
Cons: some days we didn't get towels in our room. on some floors things were kind of beat up. food very expensive. the food at the buffet on the first floor was great, but was $40 each. The food at the only other restaurant on site that we went to, the Mexican food one, was just terrible. and expensive. we figured out that the best value in food was room service. an excellent meal for $20 each.
Pros: It is easy to get taxis to other areas, although any taxi ride will cost you about $15-20. There is an onsite Starbucks and a Daiquiri Shack across the street. Within an hour someone had thrown up in our hallway and it was cleaned up almost immediately. Would recommend looking at Graycliff Resort for nearly the same price.
Cons: From the moment we arrived, staff members were very unfriendly and short whenever we had questions. Facilities in person look much more worn down than online pictures would suggest. Also, the golf course and casino are not open. We ordered appetizers at the tapas lounge and well-after an hour they never arrived. Only one pool is in the sun and is much better for families as there is island music blasting from 9am on and a giant ball kids can get inside and roll around in - blocking access to the swim up bar. The wifi only works in the lobby. Housekeeping checked to see if everything was ok with our room one night at 10:30pm - seemed quite unnecessary.
Pros: Everything, good location, great beach and staff. Not too expensive and easy to take the bus. Daiquiri shack was awesome.
Cons: Nothing, juat the renovations that they didnt have every facility finished, but it wasent any inconvenience.
Pros: The beach is amazing! Clean, white sand and clear water.
Cons: Poor condition of the hotel. First room was moldy smelling, the carpet was wet and the temperature was too hot. The second room was okay, but the electricity was a problem and on the 3rd day half of the room (which included the air conditioning) lost power, Although we reported this immediately, it was only after 4 hours and numerous phone calls that they informed us we would have to be moved. Third room was okay. In summary, the rooms are dated and beat up and the service is poor.
Cons: Horrible stay. Nothing worked. Staff VERY unfriendly.
Cons: Hotel staff is very loud walking down the hallways, especially on the first floor.
Pros: Not much, being on the ocean was good.
Cons: Hotel is worn down and not taken care of. They try to trick you to cost more money. We check in and nothing is explained about towel keys other than you need them to get towels at pool. Turns out, you need to hand them back in while checking out rather than leaving then in room with other keys. If you don't hand them in at checkout, then your charged $30 per key. Best part is they don't tell you this at check in or do they ask for them at check out. They basically hope you don't know then charge you. It's sad when other guests at hotel have to tell you this then you scramble to make sure you don't get charged. For a vacation resort in a city where everyone is friendly, the Melia staff at front desk aren't friendly at all. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
Pros: By looking at the reviews , I was little scared but that was the only 4 star hotel available for less than 200 dollars.Located little far from downtown though.
I liked the beach very much as it is a shallow beach can have loads n loads of fun there n pools are maintained well.
Rooms are neat and clean, can check in early . Two times we checked in by 12 pm . Did not have any problem. Staff are very friendly.
Dinner buffet was 38 dollars and its reasonable compared to Atlantis where it was 68 dollars.
A lady invited and taught some salsa class for free, hotel paid her I guess. All in all I guess its a full value for the money we spent.
Cons: Service charge per person is very high.
Internet is available only in the lobby.
Casino not 24hrs n only on weekends the casino will be have tables, if not its only machines.
Less crowd. Will good for those who want privacy but not for those who like to meet new people.
No Night club
Pros: The worst experience ever. They didn't have my hotel ready for 4 hours and then gave me the key once the room was ready and someone else was in there. The phone didn't work, and there were no towels. I stayed there for one night....the worst experience ever. Also, the hotel was supposed to take off the $40 charge for the resort fee and still charged my credit card. Unacceptable. Lastly, when I checked in they said that travelocity never booked my room....worst experience in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: The worst experience ever. They didn't have my hotel ready for 4 hours and then gave me the key once the room was ready and someone else was in there. Kayak you did a horrible job on trouble shooting this as I was on hold with you all for 30 minutes and just hung up.
