The supplier choice is apparently an EV even though I didn’t select the EV option. They require you to bring the car back charged. For a one day rental to the airport, that is not realistic. I was also charged for gas, which I had stopped near the airport and filled up. I eventually got a credit but the whole thing was a hassle and didn’t leave me feeling good about renting from Budget in the future.

Pick up process was ridiculous. I'm not exaggerating--standing outside (not in any type of building or cover) for 56 minutes while they tried to figure out rentals for myself and 7 other customers. Ended up just giving me a size up, was not cleaned well, didn't have record of what fuel level was at, and staff spoke all of 3 words to me. I saw the poor reviews at this location and figured, how bad can it be? Yes I got my vehicle and it worked fine, but the entire pick up and drop off experience was horrible and I do not plan to rent from this brand at this airport again.

I booked to pick up the car at 7pm. When I got to the location at 7pm I was told they have closed . I saw a gentle man inside the store and another gentleman sited outside the store. And they both told me they have closed. I was never told the store closed at 7pm. Also I got there at 7pm as booked but never attended to. That’s not professional. If you agree to attend to a customer at 7pm, you should honor your agreement . That messes up all my plans as I intended to travel that night

Overall is was terrible. The line to see an agent was over an hour long wait with the air conditioning ineffective. Then once the agent was completed you had wait for another hour to get the car because all cars were being serviced and the backlog was terrible. Once you got your car it wasn’t even well cleaned and wreaked of cigarette and cigar smoke. The only bright spot was an agent who was going out of her way to help as many people as she could to expedite the line. She was incredibly helpful and polite.

Pick up at 12: Am was good and fast. Wanted to try out the car it was new to the market so I got that and it had the leg room I needed. On my return it was an older woman who did her best and because I had a foot protector asked if I needed a ride to the airport. I took the shuttle but she really cared and had already asked. Car was clean and in great shape.

One week prior to my scheduled pick up time I received a call from the pick up location stating I needed to call the 800 number to cancel my reservation because they would not have a car ready for me. I did not cancel my reservation as I received numerous other emails confirming my vehicle would be ready. I picked up my vehicle and it was equipt with a feature called UVO, a subscription based service, which was not activated. Every 5-10 minutes while driving the radio would turn off as it attempted to connect to the UVO system. After returning the vehicle I started getting charged for numerous fees and add one that were never discussed at the time of checkout. I will never rent from Hertz again.

Picking it up was pretty messy. And they were going to charge me twice once at the desk and then again as I was leaving the gate when she attempted to charge me as I was leaving the gate, I called it out and she said that there were two reservations that’s why they were charging me double. I told them no there was only one issued it through KAYAK and she insisted I had two reservations, so she ended up fixing it but cleary the kayak booking through other travel partners it got double booked somehow so I would recommend looking into that problem.

Pros:

The staff was very good- they were well organized and working hard. There were lots of customers for limited staff. They were efficient and did their jobs well - there was no time for niceties other than polite service. They were inconsistent in enforcing the rule about "only the renter may come in the building". As a result my wife stood in the cold and watched other couples inside who elected not to comply with the stated rules. The car I got was adequate and functioned fine but was quite expensive (modest car- pretty high rate 140/2 days- tiny Hyundai) so it was adequate but not outstanding value. Return process was highly effective with good speed and no glitches. Again-staff is excellent. Overall- competent but modest value and inconsistent adherence to rules.

Cons:

Standardize adherence to rules. More staff on busy days. More product selection.

Pros:

no, they were not helpful and they were misleading. Apparently they required an airline confirmation as we were paying with a debit card. 3 trips walking to the rental building in the rain the story changed slightly each time as far as what was need. never got the car and will certainly let all know that the Enterprise holding rental companies are incompetant.

Cons:

FIre the entire staff at the Philadelphia airport and hire a staff of concerned workers who work hard to keep their job and seek improvement, not the type that is hired and they feel entitled.

KAYAK

Pros:

The staff were decent. they were friendly and somewhat understanding. The car I received was not the car reserved. and the car received had a horrible odor that the staff tried to convince me of cleaning products. IT WAS NOT!!!! and it smelled so bad the whole trip i had to personally buy air fresheners. Literally!!!! and i know some of my stuff smelled like the car after a few hours. NO GOOD!!!!!!!!!

Cons:

I asked for a better smelling car before i took it off the lot and they convinced me that the smell would go away. No the smell didnt. Car ran smooth.... also it woulda been nice to have some gas in the car before leaving the lot too.

Drop off excellent and efficient. Shuttle service was excellent.

Cons:

Pickup was slightly slower than expected. 3 companies sharing one rental area delayed the process. Many clients were waiting in line.
