Rethymno hotels near Rethimnon Cathedral

Pros: nice hotel ,though it is a bit outdated but nice staff and very comfortable ,nice location just off the highway ,so very good if you have your own car

Pros: The room was excellent, the staff very friendly and in general a very enjoyable experience. The Beach could loose some of the chisel but the water was clean and everything else absolutely fine.

Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of the old town with its shops and tavernas.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Large, nice room with balcony. Good location if you like to be both near the town and also have access to beach/seafront. Very good value for money. Good to have a fridge in room.

Pros: Location was excellent. Really close to the old town and the beach. The staff were helpful and communication before and during our stay was very good.

Pros: Achillion Palace was an ideal hotel for our holiday, close to the beach, right in the middle between the old and new areas. The old town was a 2 minute walk, loads of shops, tavernas etc. Hotel was perfectly comfartable, clean and the staff friendly. We had a great stay in Rethymnon.

Pros: Staff was very friendly and kind. Room and facilities were comfortable and of nice style. Very nice view over the sea and to Rehtymno. The restaurant was excellent, particularly the buffet dinner.

Pros: Breakfast was very good and although rooms are fairly small they were well kitted out and very clean. Pools were very nice - beware of very early morning sunlounger reservers (you know the nationality).

Pros: I found that the young lady and the man working down at the Spa unfriendly and they seemed like they only wanted to assist you if there was some personal gain, e.g. appoint for facial, message etc. I asked them for a towel and they seemed upset about my asking.

Pros: The hotel can't be qualified as 5 stars establishment. It's understaffed (one person at the reception; nobody at the bar), no concierge, horrible breakfast. The "5 star" facilities are shared with The Pearl, the four star older hotel. So called "Wellness Center" is a bad joke: there are 3 delapidated bicycles and nothing else. I never stayed at 3 star hotel but it probably looks like this one. Beware !
