I went to pick up vehicle that I rented a month before get there they don’t have it. It says in the contract they would give me something similar I rented a 7 passenger van and all they had was a 15 passenger van that was way to big and that was my only choice between that and another huge van okay I understand if they don’t have my vehicle but to charge me an extra 46 dollars a day for something that was not my mistake is unacceptable so I had to pay an extra 400 that affects my finances for my family’s trip very unhappy and thrifty was absolutely no help at all needless to say I was furious I would love to talk to an actual human being not an aI generated person from thrifty they said it’s not their problemReviewed 18 July 2026

Great experience from check in to drop off. I took the mystery choice for vehicles and ended up with a Ram 1500 truck. Loved it so much, I am out looking for a new truck!Reviewed 17 July 2026

Wasn’t so much the car but the company has been a nightmare to deal with. I hit a rabbit on the way home and I was NOT able to file an incident report no matter what I tried. The button for it would either not work OR I would be let to a page that said the link expired. I wound up having a $650 charge that I’ll now have to plead with whatever third party insurance thrust upon me to absolve. The entire experience of this has been nothing but hugely stressful on me and my finances. I can’t say I’d use kayak or hertz again in all honesty.Reviewed 16 July 2026

Charged us a ridiculous amount of money for a 2 mm scratch on the rim of one tire which we claimed was there when we picked up. We didn’t think it at all significant to report at pick up. And now we are being charged for it which was always there.Reviewed 11 July 2026

The price was higher than advertised when I reserved. Insurance fee was also higher than what Kayak showed. Also the car was smaller (small SUV instead of an intermediate SUV) but at least it was new.Reviewed 5 July 2026
