Ok, but the insurancePros:I requested insurance through kayak, but when i did the booking the app told me that it was not possible to rent with that insurance. Once in alamo, the insurance was 10$ more expensive...Cons:The insurance was way too expensive.Reviewed 9 Nov. 2015

Free upgrade, surprisingly good gas mileagePros:I got a free upgrade to a Nissan Rogue on a one-way rental from Denver to El Paso. The vehicle was new, clean and had no issues whatsoever. The staff in both cities were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Cons:I don't have much to complain about, other than to say it was not the cheapest rental car experience I have had.Reviewed 15 Nov. 2016

Not recommendedPros:Picking up from DFW was the best experience I had, honestly the only reason why they get 3 stars & not just 1. Took about 10 min tops & customer service was excellent!Cons:Dropping off in El Paso was easy & efficient but picking up another car 4 days later was a nightmare. Took over 40 min just at the desk (there were 2 people ahead of me). Once we were in the parking lot to pick up the car, there was only one person working outside, but he was too busy on a personal call to help us. When he finally came over to tell us which car we could take, he didn't get off the phone, & just said, you can take that one, & went back into his booth, still on his cell phone, while we waited for him to let us out at the exit, which he walked to a couple minutes later, still on his phone. We were the only ones there! The car didn't have any windshield wiper fluid & the remote didn't work. My card was charged 2 separate amounts that didn't add up to the total on my receipt, it was for almost $30 more, & after being reimbursed for some of the inconveniences, the second amount is still on hold almost 2 weeks later & when I call Alamo, I keep getting different answers as to why, including, we don't show anything on hold, we show the transaction complete & there's nothing they can do except wait a few weeks & see if that amount is still on hold. DONT EVER RENT A CAR from the EL PASO LOCATION!Reviewed 8 Jan. 2017

Middle of the road.Pros:For your money alamo has comfortable cars that function. Car was a Chrysler 200 and it drove decent with decent mileage for gas.Cons:The car was very stained. Drivers seat had a sweat stain from the previous drivers backside. There were numerous stains from who knows what all over the headrests seats and doors. The car had 27,000 miles on it and it showed. At least they didn't charge me full price.Reviewed 7 Jun. 2016

Very good experiencePros:The staff in the pickup and return area is very courteous and helpful. The car was exceptionally clean.Cons:Telephone service, needs work. Customer support is obviously farmed out overseas and if the problem isn't in their book they simply keep repeating what's in front of them. In 4 attempts over 3 hours no one at the rental desk in the airport (ELP) ever answered the phone.Reviewed 1 Mar. 2017

nice n professionalPros:Again loved the customer service can't express that enough. Also loved that as soon as I drove up to parking lot some one was there to take the car. In other places I had to wait over 15mins for someone to show up.Reviewed 29 Jan. 2016

Good rate but watch for extra chargesPros:Pickup and drop off were seamless.Cons:They charge an extra $10 a day for a secondary driver. I have never had this happen with other car rental companies. We passed on having my wife as an extra driver for our 9 day rental.Reviewed 10 Nov. 2015

Extra hour? Unfair...Pros:The car was new and perfectCons:I used the car exactly 24 hours but since the drop off city has an hour ahead in the time they charged me $38 additional to my bill. I paid because of my rush to take my flight but I don't think this is correct.Reviewed 29 Dec. 2016
