Pros:Great price, clean car, drop off was great, no problems.Cons:When we arrived in ELP for a wedding I was asked by relatives to pick up a couple of people that arrived at the airport at about the same time I did. They need a ride so I agreed, I went to get the car and I told them that we would be five total, four adults and seven year old child. I was then told by the agent that we needed to upgrade to a full size car since the mid-size car we had would not accommodate five. I said ok but after thinking about it I asked him, "are you saying the car does not have five seat belts" and he said no I would have to upgrade. I know this was a lie since I had never heard of a mid-size car in the US without five seat belts. I told him that I wanted to keep the car I had and leave it at that. Long story short is that when we went to get the car it was a Camry.....and it did in fact have five seat belts....so he lied right to my face twice. They must be under a lot of pressure to up sell but lies are not the way to build loyalty.Reviewed 19 Sep. 2016

Unlimited Mileage Denied at CounterPros:The counter guy was very apologetic for my inconvenience.Cons:I reserved my rental through Kayak and on my reservation paperwork it showed that my rental vehicle with Advantage qualified for unlimited mileage or in other words it was checked off green. However, when I went to the Advantage counter to pick up my vehicle, I was told that my reservation didn't qualify for unlimited mileage. The counter guy told me that it didn't apply for local renters and that I had to read the fine print. I asked if this happens a lot when people come for their rentals and he said yes. If someone has to go fishing for the information then that is not a good thing. I will never rent from Advantage.Reviewed 12 Jul. 2017

Pros:Price was ok. No line at pick-up (which should have warned me)Cons:It took two people ten minutes to check me out (not including actual car pickup). During that time, I saw another person in line leave out of frustration. The car they rented me did not have a remote key, even though it should have had one. Only one door lock on the whole car. Had to lock the doors before closing, and I accidentally locked the key in the trunk once, which required me to call AAA. I'm positive they charged someone else that expensive key replacement fee in the past, and never got a new key.Reviewed 11 Nov. 2019

StrandedCons:The office closed at 11:59 we landed and got to the rental desk at 12:05. When we called customer service they offered absolutely nothing. Our hotel reservation was an hour drive away. I will never forgive Advantage for being so unwilling offer any support whatsoever. Luckily Hertz still had people in the garage and they matched Advantage price.Reviewed 24 Aug. 2018

Pros:Car was clean, tank was filled up. We have a 1-year old and rented a car seat along with the vehicle; everything worked with that. Pickup and drop off were easy. I would go through Advantage again, especially at this price.Reviewed 2 May 2016

Pros:The size of the caravan was nice, especially considering we had 4 people. The riding was very smooth and comfortable.Cons:We were not told up front there was a $200.00 deposit for the rental. And when we returned the car, they said there were a few scratches on the car, but they were clearly marked on their own paper that was originally circled to begin with when the vehicle was inspected prior to us renting it. They did finally agree and are to return the deposit to us, however that was a little annoying since the proof was already there.Reviewed 17 Apr. 2018

Gate agent raised pricingPros:The cars were within walking distance of the terminal.Cons:Online the insurance for our rental period was about $60 dollars. I declined the coverage think I would use my own. While picking up the car, I changed my mind and went ahead and got the insurance on the rental. The price was about $100 more than the price online.
