There was nobody there to inspect the car and hand it over to me. When I dropped off the car, they then inspected the vehicle and found a scratch below the bumper which they insisted was not there. No normal person would inspect the underneath of the vehicle when hiring. They then proceeded to invoice me for the "so called" damage. The vehicle was not new and had many other minor dents. The bumper also had a scratch on the other side, which they said they invoiced to the previous renter. Effectively, they are collecting twice to repair the same panel. I will not hire from Alamo South Africa or their associates ever again.Reviewed 16 Apr 2026

I was never again rent from Alamo, National or Enterprise again. Got to the location at 11:30pm and they were closed even after giving me assurances that they would wait for me. They had my flight information and knew exactly at what time I was arriving and never bothered to wait for me. I got stranded at their location at their location way outside of the airport with no other means of transportation at close to midnight with my 11 year old, my wife and all of our luggage. Well I was unable to get the car because of the resident rules for being from Louisiana. I was unable to use the card I reserved the vehicle with but they held my deposit and rental fees until Monday to be returned.Reviewed 12 Apr 2026
