When we picked the car up and their printer wasn’t working so I had to take a picture of my own rental agreement on my phone, the car was dirty. Windows were dirty. Had a half a tank of gas car could’ve been a lot cleaner no floor mats in it at all. And then I get halfway down the street and it says oil change is needed on the vehicle and we were already halfway to our destination that was irritating.. they need to hire more people so these vehicles can be cleaned and given out appropriately now I cleaned it thoroughly before I gave it back, but I shouldn’t have had to do all that extra stuff as we’re really not dirty car keepers anyway, but I had to go an extra mile. 😠Reviewed 14 Dec 2025

My first comment: At check-in I advised that I would fill the gas tank prior to drop off. At drop off i requested to get a printed copy of the receipt from the person checking the car in. I then noticed that she charged me $18 for fuel. I then asked her why I was charged for fuel when I brought the car in full of fuel. She asked to see the fuel receipt. I gave it to her to review. She then corrected the charges. She then commented that it was good I checked the receipt. Charging me for fuel should never have happened. Had I not asked for a printed copy of the receipt this would have been much more difficult to correct at a later date. I am very disappointed that this occurred and will think twice about using Avis again. My second comment: The windshield was dirty on the inside. I had a terrible experience with HERTZ at the DIA Airport, so was grateful for the excellent service, rates, & No deposit needed. IThe 2 things I'd encourage the Loveland/ Ft. Collins office to do are: Walk around the car with the customer,to do a visual inspection, noting Existing damage. Also I had to come in & ask someone to give me a quick tutorial of this car, adjusting the seat, important things like that. They were understaffed, so I understood, but still..The Drop-off in Pensacola was fast, well-organized & a great experience. You're my Only Choice for my next Rental car! Keep up the good work! My experience with Avis was horrible. There was a deposit policy that wasn’t clearly stated and the money couldn’t be split between 2 credit cards. They didn’t accept cash or debit cards, making my reservation obsolete. When I asked the clerk if there was anything I could do, he seemed to take a little pleasure in telling me there was nothing he could do. Instead of being stranded in Nashville with an Avis reservation I couldn’t redeem, I went across to Enterprise and rented a nice vehicle through them with no deposit on the spot. I would never rent through Avis because there are too many strict rental restrictions that make a recreational traveler inconvenienced.Reviewed 2 Dec 2025

I did not like that they held $750 on my credit card for a car that I only rented for 1 day. After returning the car, 3 days later, I am still waiting for the money to be returned to my credit card. What if that was all the money I had for my trip and was depending on it?Reviewed 2 Dec 2025
