Terrible experience with the location. I've filled formal complaints Avis, Michigan AG and FTC. I was forced to wait hours, lied to, threatened, put into dirty vehicles that weren't the vehicle class I pre paid for.Reviewed 15 May 2026

They were great. Courteous, friendly, and efficient. I had an email query regarding the bill and they responded back right away. The only very slight issue is the longer-than-it-used-to-be walk back from the rental car lot, but that change is probably not their fault and probably applies to all the companies at the airport. We had a bigger car than requested however it suited us so I'm grateful for that. Car was fairly clean, bit of mud on the door rims but this was minor. Lady on the desk at pickup was very busy but it wasn't too long a wait and she was very efficient. Overall it was a good experience.Reviewed 13 May 2026

I arrived at Avis at 12:45pm and the counter was closed and no one was there. The sign said they should have been open until 1pm. I was unable to pick up my reservation. I instead had to book a same-day rental at a location 45 minutes north.Reviewed 12 May 2026

I had a mixed experience with this company. The in-person service at the counter was great — the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the online customer service was terrible. It was practically impossible to speak with a real person or get proper support when needed. The final price also ended up being much higher than expected. After adding premium insurance and extra fees, the cost almost doubled. Be aware that everything seems to come with additional charges, so the price shown here is not the real final price. To make things worse, my credit card was charged again after the rental period had already ended, even though the car was returned in the exact same condition as when we picked it up.Reviewed 12 May 2026
