Location is not correct - took a long time to even find this location. They said didn’t have our reservation - we had to play phone tag with the support line and on-site agent for hours before they finally got us a car. I was unable to pickup my vehicle. Avis stated that vehicle was at a different location but my reservation was the correct one in my email. Avis would not honor the reservation I made with you. I tried contacting Kayak and I was unable to contact or get a hold of anyone to correct your mistake. I had to rent another vehicle with budget and it delayed my whole trip and added expenses I hadn’t planned for. I will not be using your company again.Reviewed 1 Mar 2026

I did't get a car from the category i asked on the internet reservation. I had booked a 'ford escape or similar intermediate SUV" (i have a screen capture of my original booking) and I got a Jeep Grand cherokee. That was 50 cad per day more expensive. I was threatened by the agent to cancel the reservation altogether if I continued questioning it. In brief, this interaction felt disrespectful and manipulative. The car in itself was correct and allowed me to fulfill my plans. I did my part, gave it back intact, cleaned and tank filled. When I arrived to pick up the car, they said they didn't have my car and that I booked it at the wrong airport. When I insisted that they look into it further, they refused. Terrible experience at pick up. They said the price we had reserved the car for was only 50% of the total payment because we had a different drop off city. Even though the reservation explicitly showed the different pick up/drop off and total fees. The car was in poor condition and the AC stopped working half way into our trip. The windshield was dirty inside. Next time, I’m going back to Localiza. Avis/ Unidas is a joke in Brazil.Reviewed 26 Feb 2026

Reservation requested at OGG booked to a location outside the airport. After waiting 1 1/2 hours in line I was informed of the location error and Avis was unwilling to honor reservation. The rental car was dirty with a used water bottle in the back seat and filled with a colony of live roaches. The roaches were visible and scattered virtually every time we entered the car. They were on the seats, floor, dashboard, our clothes, and empty cups. Then Avis charged us an extra $1800 without our knowledge. When we called to complain, they said it was because we upgraded, but the only reason we had the roach infested jeep was because they had given out our car.
