Brooklyn hotels in Williamsburg

Cons: There was no disclosure that the toilet was in the shower and that there's really no room in the room to be comfortable…outside of just sleeping. Because of the shower situation, we had to use the public restrooms frequently which were not well kept.

Cons: Toilet in the shower was interesting design.. But it was clean !!

Cons: The neighborhood itself has little to offer tourists. Column in the middle of the room prevented joining twin beds together. Few dining options nearby.

Cons: Everything was good but the hotel should provide a better breakfast. Everything taste weird even a banana. How come!!!

Cons: If you're visiting Brooklyn, this is a great place to stay. If you plan to visit Manhattan much, keep in mind taxi/Uber fares are $30 to $40 one way. Nothing is really within walking distance except the amazing Williamsburg Bagels across the street. I wish we had gone there more than once. If I stay here again, I will investigate the subway situation. On this trip, however, I was traveling with a mobility impaired family member, so we relied heavily on Uber.

Cons: The walls are way too thin and we had to walk some way to the different trains but not a really far walk.

Cons: The beds were really bad. Light switches are super complicated to use. Overpriced for what it is

Cons: Rudimentary tv service. Really a surprise. Wall paper peeling Paint peeling Dimmer switches and some lights broken! This was in January when there were very few customers, and I had paid for a better room. And the dinner from The Elm was terrible. The piece of meat they sent up to my room was an embarrassment. My boyfriend will eat anything and not even he would touch it. Like so many hotels the music system depends on you having an iPhone 4. If you want an adaptor you have to pay $30

Cons: Very underwhelmed. For the price it simple doesn't even compete to other New York hotels. The room was fine but for 400 a night I'm not paying for fine.

Cons: The maintenance of the facility was lacking. Our shower knob was broken, and the hand held shower head wouldn't work, despite asking for service. The frosting on the bathroom window was peeling, as was some of the wall paper. We also found a random metal shelf above our fridge?

Cons: There were just a couple of things that could improve.. we liked our breakfast in the room, but after the first day, we didn't get the door hanger to request the next day's breakfast.. bummer. Also, I know it was the holidays, but the restaurant and bar seemed to keep pretty random hours.. hard to plan.

Cons: The lighting is a little stark but this is a minor thing...very minor!

Cons: My stay at ISH was from June 17 to 19. On my last night, at about 4.45am I woke up and saw the lights were on. I remember that I switched them off the night before so I sat up in my bed, confused for a while. Suddenly a male entered my room with his luggage and told me that the reception had given him the same room as me. We were sharing the same room (I am a female)! I was very shocked and even more confused but since it was already very late at night I did not object (he had a few luggages with him and it was already late). In the morning when I checked out, I told the receptionist that a male entered my room last night and that the hostel had put him in the same room as me. The receptionist checked and said she did not see him in the system. Bullshit! I told her that she could go up to my room and see for herself as he was sleeping in the lower bunk as we speak! It is indeed very horrifying that they put a male and female together in the same room and I was lucky that the male had no bad intentions. I will never choose ISH again for this extremely bad experience. Also, the women's toilet locks are unreliable and I nearly got locked in one of the cubicles!! I read other reviews and another guest mentioned the same thing. Very unpleasant visit indeed.

Cons: There is no way to set the things in your room. No furniture or closets, or even a chair in the room to have things accommodated.

Cons: The ceilings are open, so you can hear everything on your floor. It also right next to a subway line. My remedy for both was headphones, but there are earplugs provided at the reception desk.
