The staff at the airport were kind and helpful during both pick-up and drop-off, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t go as smoothly. I wasn’t given any paperwork at pick-up, which became a problem when I ran into an issue with the car. The trunk wouldn’t close, and I didn’t have a phone number to call for help. I ended up having to stop at a gas station and pay out of pocket for assistance, which delayed my plans since I couldn’t safely drive with the trunk open. I then called customer service and spent about an hour explaining the situation. I was told everything was documented and that I would receive a credit. However, when I followed up on later days, I was told there were no notes from that call and no credit had been applied. I had to call several times and kept getting different answers, which was frustrating. To add to that, I received an email saying I could return the car at either 12 PM or 3 PM without any extra charge, but I was still charged anyway. I called several times about extending the lease. Due to renting through a 3rd party , I encountered a lot of wasted time. I had one agent who stopped talking to me because she couldn't understand what I needed. She literally stopped talking and sat on the phone. I rented through Kayak which I won't do again. Overall, while the in-person staff were great, the lack of communication and follow-through made this a really frustrating experience. Gave me a basic SUV that did not have navigation or satellite radio. Did not have a USB outlet so I went back in and they gave me a converter box but it was very low charge to my phone. Also they had not checked maintenance and car kept telling me to get service soon. Could not use with my phone since it didn't have any extra features.Reviewed 28 Mar 2026

The wait to pick up was too long. They didn't have enough staff for the volume of people that was there. It took over an hour to get through. That was the longest wait of the day including checking bags and tsa.Reviewed 28 Mar 2026

Rented a car went to the place to go get it and they said they did not have any vehicle vehicles available yet. I’ve rented it paid the taxi to drive down there. And ended up having to pay for a taxi even more to go from that budget back to my place and was Vehicle list. Very inconvenient. Do not trust if they have something available.Reviewed 28 Mar 2026

Easy pickup and dropoff. Vehicle drove nice. Vehicle was not cleaned prior to our pickup, so that was disappointing. There was broken glass behind the driver's seat; It looked like a window was probably broken and clean up was not at all thorough. Price was good and we were able to book last minute. Overall it was great. This is the second vehicle we have rented from Budget from Waterloo Airport that has not been cleaned prior to our renting.Reviewed 27 Mar 2026

Waited in the terminal for almost two hours while they fumbled with my registration and told me I would have to call the people I made a reservation with because they couldn’t just help me. It finally worked but get this the lost damage waiver doesn’t cover a popped tire so all around not a very worthwhile experience will not be using Budget ever againReviewed 27 Mar 2026
