After I pre-paid and the booking was confirmed via text, I received a call from the counter at the budget location to let me know that they don’t have any cars. Fine, but the next frustration was they said they couldn’t cancel the reservation themselves and told me I had to call customer service and relay the fact that there were no cars. Why can’t the person at the counter cancel it themselves? When I called customer service I of course had to explain the whole situation and I ended the call feeling anxious. It’s frustrating that you are allowed to book a car online when they don’t actually have the inventory. It should not be this hard.Reviewed 27 Sept 2026

The staff at the Burlington office were constantly interrupting working with a customer to argue with other customers who were dropping off keys. At one point there was a stand still where nothing happened for a couple of minutes, I was too fearful to ask what was happening with my car because I thought they might blow up. The car was filthy, my water bottle rolled on the floor and it was so covered with dirt. The front window was covered with something that was difficult to see out of. I had to stop at a gas station to wash the windows. I couldn’t believe how filthy the car was. I appreciate the the price and the drop off location was better.Reviewed 25 Sept 2026

I made the reservation and arrived on site during the time I requested the car. The station was iopne but the attendant was not a the location. Waited 1 hr and then called and reached out the Budget via phone from another rental company. Noone answered and no one showed up. I ended renting from someone else. I filled up the gas tank when I returned the car. I have the receipts, yet you charged me $65 for fuel. I intend to dispute this and will take the matter up with the appropriate authorities. You charged me an extra $65; I had already returned the car with a full tank.Reviewed 24 Sept 2026

My pickup was smooth but I had to request another car because my car was dirty on the outside as if somebody ran into mud but I was cleaned in the front. But I was given another vehicle. Drop off was very smooth. When I put gas back in the vehicle, I filled it up and upon realizing that I advised Ms Tamika operations manager and she assisted me because with a credit. Ms. Jackie checked me in and that’s was very good…it took her 5 mins. I will be using kayak and budget again 🙂Reviewed 24 Sept 2026
