I had selected and booked a car based on its size and trunk storage (Skoda Otavia) and was quoted a price of $1088. Just before traveling I called to confirm my reservation and was told that the price was now $1239 because the first quoted price didn't include tax and surcharges. But when I arrived to pick up the car, it wasn't available. I was then told that the car that they had for me wouldn't be suitable or 4 adults with just carry on luggage (note no big luggage) but they could rent me a car that was better suited to our needs, but now the price changed to $2364 so the price had more than doubled from the original quote. As it turned out the Volvo that we ended up renting looked good and drove well but was too low to the ground and too hard to get in and out of for 4 adults in their 70's. And it was a bit rough on the poor roads of the northern part of the country, I assume it was because low profile tires.Reviewed 16 May 2025
