Pros: They were courteous when I picked up the car. Spoke English well. There was not much of a wait to get service
Cons: The GPS did not work well. The car would not start onthe last day of the trip and neither The Hertz office in Nice or in Spain would help. Allianz insurance would not help. The situation is still not resolved, I have spent 6 or more hours on the phone with only getting told "that I need to talk to a different Hertz office.

Terrible RIP OFF in Spain Bilbao
Pros: car was new
Cons: I booked a car for 6 passengers only to be told its not big enough for our luggage.I was given a bigger car that I had to pay for. Then I was told that the car I purchased didn't include any Insurance at all and that I was liable up to 25000 Euro. in all I had to pay approx. another $450 Euro for the car. I wont waste my time on the holiday complaining and reporting this abuse of vulnerable travellers(when they don't have another choice and cancellation is not allowed) but when I get back to Sydney I will be making formal complaints
Cons: Hidden "surcharge" fee with tax on that as well of course. No idea what this is for. I pre-paid with kayak and returned the vehicle in good order and full of fuel. Maybe there's a good reaon for it but certainly isn't explained in the invoice I've been sent after returning home.

Cons: I cancelled The reservation after waiting in line for 30 minutes and found another car from Europe car it was very disappointing
Cons: Rented me a smaller car than I had reserved. Then I got two additional charges to my credit card totaling over $500 Dollars for ludicrous charges. They claimed the car was dirty (even though it was clean for a 12 day car rental) and they claimed I made a small scratch on the plastic bumper. They also charged me more than double the price for what I had reserved on Kayak when I picked up the car.
