Subject: Complaint Regarding Incorrect Cancellation Fee Deduction Dear Customer Service Team, I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my reservation cancellation. I cancelled my reservation within the allowed cancellation period and according to the stated cancellation policy, which clearly indicated that the cancellation was free. My cancellation was made three days before the scheduled pickup date, which should have qualified for a free cancellation. However, I was charged a penalty and USD 100 was deducted from my account. This charge is not consistent with the cancellation terms provided at the time of booking. I kindly request that you review this matter immediately and refund the incorrectly deducted USD 100. There was no one there when we went to pick up the car, it was the only car rental place with no one present. And there were no signs or numbers to call. Other car rental companies said this happens all the time with the Hertz at this location.Reviewed 12 June 2026

I had reserved my car almost two weeks before. We took an over night fight with an 80 plus senior and two kids. When I got to hertz at the designated time, there was a long line of those waiting for cars. At 9:30 AM I was told to wait 30 minutes for my car when checking in. We waited until 11:30 am. Stood back in the long line, only to find out that we were no longer in the computer. Did not get our car until almost 12:30 pm. Loved the car and the easy hop on hop off. The hertz employees at the Avignon TGV were amazing. They waited for me past 2100 because the train was late. In the moment of stress they were extremely helpful and kind. I also forgot my backpack and they rushed to bring it to me while I was loading up the car with my luggage. They didn't have my car size available when I was there to pick up. So I had to upgrade two sizes up since they didn't have the next size either.
