The Hertz did not provide the vehicle that was booked despite being shown the confirmation number, leaving me and my travel partner stranded at the Lima airport

When you make a reservation and when it’s confirmed you expect there is a car. When I arrived to pick up the car I was told I should reserve a week in advance. Why confirm than the reservation?? Very bad, I’m sorry.

you lied to me, there was no drop-off in the same location. I had to do it in another location and they charged me more for that. I felt robed.

The car was not ready, and we were not offered a reqsonable alternative. They did offer another car, but it costed four times the one we had booked. They provided a car at night, 14 hours later, not the yaris we had booked, but a corrolla. We had to pay for the upgrade, even if it was not our fault. Moreover, we booked the car for ten days, and since the vehicle was late, we tried to reduce it to a 9 day rental. Thye told us they could not change our original reservation. Brief, they can do what they need at your expense, but you have no flexibility at all. They do not honor reservations. If you want to rent a car at this place, make sure they do have the car (call in advace) . Even when they did not have cars available, their webpage allowed us to make new bookings for the same day...

I rented a car at least a week before getting there. My original rental was for 11:00pm. Because of a flight delay, I didn't get to the airport until 2:00am. At that point, I went to the counter. He saw my name, but said no cars were available. I explained that it wasn't my fault that the plane was late. He said he didn't know what to say. He got in at midnight and no cars were available. Of course, that means, my car was gone as of midnight.

Even tho I had pay the insurance by kayak, at the airport alamo was telling me that is not their problem that i should do it with them. At when i accepted the wated to charge 1000 us for the insurence, my remaining pay up for the car was 220 CAD dollars but they try to charge those in US dollars

Pros:

The staff was extremely friendly and thorough.

Cons:

I understand the road restrictions with the odd/even numbered plates. We were told that we would have an odd numbered plate, which worked well for us because of the driving we needed to do on a particular day. However, they gave us an even numbered plate, which really messed up our day.

Friendly and honest staff

Cons:

I had serious difficulty finding the location to drop off the car. In fact, it was closed although Alamo claims to be opened 24 hours. I managed to leave the car at the designated place and have the clerk at the desk arrange for the checkup. I did make my flight, but it was a stressful experience. The staff was really friendly.

Pros:

the lack of communication with the avis office at the airport, well the office is not at the airport, is located at front of it, was a long walk and i was with my mother, she's 70 years old, the other big issue that i had was the i got the car insurance with you ( kayak and priceline ) and because of that they had to put a hold on my credit card of $5,000 because for them i didn't have insurance cause i was doing the insurance with you guys a third party. overall you shouldn't sell them like they are locate at the airport cause they don't and do something about the car insurance policy, really disappointed.

Car was quite good & comfortable.

Cons:

Over 3 hours lost during renting a car - nobody waiting at the airport, very slow service &... Booked car was not at the airport but 1 hour away :( They didn't give me miles for rental as promissed.

Pros:

Liked absolutely nothing. Avis customer service was no help. They said that it’s not really Avis in Peru, so they can’t do anything about it. So, nothing really good about it.

Cons:

When we arrived they took a few minutes, and told us that they didn’t have our car. Then they would do nothing about it. To top it off, they haven’t refunded our reservation, even though we had to go to another agency to get the SUV we needed. I ALWAYS rent through Enterprise, and I guess there is a reason. Avis was awful and absolutely no help. It was a bit more insulting since I had reserved the car seven months in advance. Don’t rent from Avis.

Cleanliness and quick drop off.

Cons:

Last time with Avis. I had been quoted $44.50 USD for the rental. When I arrived at the airport for the pickup, they told me I'd have to pay $85.76 USD. I wasted about an hour trying to tell them that was unacceptable and had to pay almost double what I was quoted in the end.

Pros:

The car was comfortable, was relatively new and was somewhat economical.

Cons:

It takes the rep too long to do the paper work upon arrival to check in. Upon check out it takes them even longer to get to the car to receive it and then you have to go to the terminal to finish the whole process. It's too much of running around just for the process.
