Pros:

The rental car itself was ok.

Cons:

Kayak booked my reservation 30 minutes away from the airport. When this was determined by the staff at Hertz Detroit airport, they were unwilling to help arrive at a solution. I had to leave the Hertz area and book through Thrifty/Dollar in order to obtain a rental car. Additionally, the area where I needed to work with the Hertz Detroit airport representative was in a closed in space, making me less comfortable during COVID.

Cons:

I already explained this - I booked the rental car with a flight to DTW, and instead they gave me a car at the downtown detroit location. They said I could actually rent from the airport location if I would simply pay double the amount that was quoted. I ended up walking to another rental company.
