How to Get to Marbella
Plane
Although Marbella doesn’t have its own airport, you can fly to Malaga Costa del Sol Airport (AGP), which is located 39 km from Marbella. The shortest flight to Marbella from Australia departs from Sydney and takes around 46h 40m.
Train
iryo is the most popular train carrier serving Marbella, followed by Renfe. The train journey from Marbella to Madrid takes 2h 42m and costs around $43 for a one-way ticket. When coming by train from Seville, expect to pay about $44 for a 2h 54m trip.
Car
Another option to get to Marbella is to pick up a car hire from Málaga, which is about 47 km from Marbella. You’ll find branches of Goldcar Rental SP and Delpaso, among others, in Málaga.
Bus
Several bus lines operate bus routes to Marbella, including ALSA, iryo and Interbus. From Granada, the bus ride to Marbella takes 153 km and will cost you around $72. From Seville, the ticket costs about $64 for a journey of 241 km. The most popular bus station is Marbella Residencia Tiempo Libre, located 8 km from the city centre of Marbella. Marbella Puerto Banús is also a commonly used station, and is 7 km from the city centre.
