Pick-up truck

The young man at the counter was great very friendly and personable! However the lady that was working there with him was extremely rude and nasty! Her attitude is horrible for no apparent reason and does not have the personality to work around a customer service based business! A better job for her would be cleaning toilets or sweeping out the parking lot away from people where she can be angry by herself

Last drop of the person cleaning came in when working on making another back to back reservation while my car is in the shop since a week or so before winter break started. They tried to make a big deal about some pet hair on the driver’s floor mat. That and the location was incoming me that the hold charge was 175% of my rental plus the total for days I made reservation for. At all the other locations, even using a debit card, the hold amount was max $200 in addition to the rental amount.

Pick-up truck

The truck was clean. They did NOT have the vehicle that I requested. Did not downgrade the price and pickup was suppose to be at 1, received vehicle a 1:45 and was informed that it had to be back at 1 regardless of when it was checked out. Returned the vehicle 30 minutes early and was charged an additional $20. Will never rent from them again.

The agent was particularly rude and they had sold out of cars for the day, even though I had booked weeks ago. She sent me to another Budget facility, which was much more pleasant, but I also had a long wait there. I would not recommend Budget.

Cons:

They tried to charge me for the upgrade without me noticing. Also tried to add an extra fee without me noticing. Price for rental cars have gone up and it’s annoying as it is

Pros:

Branch was so busy. Difficult to pick up cars. Looks like they need more staff.

Cons:

Was charged $200 for collision damage I did not opt into because I paid for insurance through my reservation and through my own private insurance. Will never rent from enterprise again. Had a better experience with Budget and Avis.

When I arrived at Avis, they simply said “will a pick up truck be acceptable?” I said yes and then she ran my card. At no point did she tell me that she was up charging me versus what I booked. At no point did I sign anything. I was told where to go to pick it up. That was it. I was asked to buy a damage waiver, but there was nothing to indicate pre-existing damage (there was some - in fact the bumper was touching a pillar in the parking garage.) Imagine my surprised when I got a significantly higher than expected bill. Avis did this same thing to my wife a couple months ago. They claimed she agreed to it and produced and electronically signed document.

They don’t exist. Budget/Avis at the airport honored the reservation. It took a while to even find out that is how it works. The Payless website said to go to the budget/Avis counters to get shuttle service off site but there is no one off site. Budget was great, but only had one person at the counter and a lot of people to take care of. It took about an hour to get through the line.

Transaction was through hotwire. Their emailed instructions directed me to a shuttle bus pick up. After waiting almost an hour, I looked up the company on the airports website and it said to go to the Avis counter. They were very helpful. Wish I hadn't followed the emailed instructions.

Nothing this place is a joke do not rent a car from anyone other than hertz or enterprise. These people will run you through the ringer

Cons:

Everything, no counter in the airport, finally get to the offsite rental place and it’s closed..... every single other car rental place was open except these jokers. Kayaks office is closed they were no help. Payless says I need to call kayak, kayak says I need to call Payless. After the run around for 5 hours on the phone I went and rented a car from enterprise for cheaper and much better customer service. Stay away from kayak and Payless car rental.
