We had a horrendous experience! We arrived at the Movida counter in the Sao Paulo airport and asked the man if he spoke English or Spanish. In Portugese he answered that he didn't. My husband and I can communicate fairly well in Portuguese using Spanish if the other person is willing to try. He refused to talk to us. I tried to tell him that we had an online reservation and we didn't know where the shuttle stop was, but he just kept saying "I don't have any cars " in Portuguese. I had the car pickup instructions with our confirmation number printed out so I showed them to him and told him to look at the confirmation. He glanced at it and then said, " I don't have any cars" in Portuguese. Then he ignored us. I was charged for the car rental. We were stuck in the airport for two hours until an Uber finally took us to the bus station in the center of Sao Paulo so we could find another rental company. That rental company filled in the gaps between our Spanish and their Portugese with google translate. The Movida guy was It was horrible! Really rude and unhelpful.

Very well located, the kiosk was inside the airport very easy to find, also the attendant l very friendly and helpful, plenty of drop in/out service, I didn’t have to wait too long for the driver to take me to the agency.

I booked a rental at Hertz. Hertz didn't exist, for several years already. We went to Localiza, which used to be a partner of Hertz. They didn't see our reservation, because they told us they are not Hertz. The type of car we booked "Wagon" was not available, they never even offer that type of car. The price was a lot higher than what we reserved. The car they gave us had some damage and was not filled up to the max. They gave us a second car in better condition and full of gas. How is it possible that you make a reservation at a company that doesn't exist? For a car they don't have (ever)? And we have to pay a lot more to finally have a car.

The customer service is not very helpful, I needed to keep the car for an extra day and after wasting my time on the phone I had to drive to a Budget location to make the change. Other than that I’m pleased with the rental.

I booked and pay for the car rental+insurance with my credit card, but the driver was my friend, as my Driver licence was expired, when we got there, they were trying to sell another insurance, I got confused and when I check my booking the insurance was included and paid. Even having the car rental fully paid in advance, the attendant asked for my friend’s credit card, and because he wasn’t prepared, and didn’t bring one, he was doing me a favor and he felt embarrassed for not bringing one and also he felt guilty as I had to pay another fee, just because I was serving as a guarantor having to use my card. By the way, the same card I paid for the whole thing in advance. Also, there was no clear information where to get the transfer from the airport to the Car rental agency, and when we delivered, we were told the driver was on his break. Thank God i was earlier and didn’t misses my return flight. The tank wasn’t full, showing only 2 bars and the car wasn’t looking very clear and disinfected when I got it from the agency.

When I arrived to drop off the vehicle at 5:00 AM, everyone in the office was in the back rooms asleep. I had a flight to make. They took nearly 30 minutes to get me on the shuttle. Today, I received a charge on my credit card labeled "MULTAS FOCO ALUGUEL DE" for $29.07. I have not received any emails or information about this charge. I need an explanation for this! Foco seems to be very unprofessional.

The location is very far from arrival/departure gates. The reserved car wasn't available and the staff was not able to handle with customer service adversities. Long lines. Bad experience, not recommended.

Had a horrible experience with Avis! First of all, because there is no office of Avis to be found at the airport (São Paulo/GRU). Turns out Avis has no office in Brazil whatsoever, but they rent out under the name of Unidas. Once we arrived at the desk of Unidas, the attendant told us that they can't accept contracts from Avis and started complaining on bad deals Avis tries to make with them. Not our problem, but in the end it turned out to be as Unidas wouldn't accept the contract we had with Avis. We had to cancel the contract, and sign a new one with Unidas for a much higher price!! But we had no other choice as it was already 2am! They should really sit together to make things right, in the end we had to spend another 200 euros on top of the 570 already spent!!

I paid you for full coverage insurance. The Brazilian Avis said if in case of any collision, no matter at fault or not, they would charge me for the repair and I will have to apply for reimbursement with you. They placed a hold on my credit card in the amount of $1,300.00 So why I was not given any explanation from you? Give me a good reason why I should buy this sh...?

Very disappointed. At Rio de Janerio airport location nobody was speaking English. They made me pay for carwash . I guess I suppose to wash the car before returning 🤷‍♂️ For sure I will think twice before I use Avis again .
