Not much - the rep at the satelite pickup location doesn't answer phone calls. He said I could extend the rental as needed. When an extension was necessary he again was not reachable by phone. I had to call a main location who informed me that if I didn't return the car at 2pm on Friday and kept it until Monday (when my vehicle would be ready as per the delay from the autobody) I would incur a $56/day rate (up from the $40/day I had already paid) plus a $250-300 surcharge because I booked through Kayak, they were unable to extend the existing reservation. When I inquired about creating a new booking direct with them from drop off time until Monday they said that would cost me an additional $500.00. I contacted my insurance agent who suggested I call customer service to have them call Hertz on my behalf to negotiate a more reasonable rate, Hertz told the insurance adjuster "they would not discuss my business with him." The adjuster was able to secure me a new rental with Enterprise for $159 through the weekend, however due to Covid Enterprise would not pick me up from drop off at Hertz. I had to hire a taxi service to get from Hertz to Enterprise. All of this was extremely unnecessary. I will never book another Hertz rental again.Cons:
Everything - Hertz had every opportunity to provide better customer service, competitive rates and to be more accommodating.Budget

Everything was great, picking up and dropping off were very easy. The car was in excellent condition and cleanliness was great.Cons:
Not sure why I had to pay 22 on kayak and then the whole rental amount at the rental agency. I was under the impression I was paying some “due now” and would pay the rest at pick up. Kayak, please explain?10.0 Wonderful

Car interior needed a more thorough cleaning, but I like everything really clean. Car indicator said it was due for maintenance and oil change. It was a newer model and we had no issues while driving.4.4 Mediocre

Cons:
We had a situation arise where we needed to return the car a day early and found very little flexibility from the Budget location where we dropped off. Customer service was also not helpful in finding us a solution without charging us a $200 one way fee for a situation out of our control. Luckily the location we did go to to return the car a day early was understanding. Kudos to the Logan Airport location.National

I like that this time the agent was straight forward with us when we got the car. The car also reported low tire pressure about 3 days in, probably due to the sudden drop in temperature. The agent at Enterprise put some air in and cleared the message.Cons:
Due to inclement weather, the whole city was under traveling ban and parking ban on the day I was supposed to drop off the car (Tue 3/14/2017). Thus, I called 1 day prior (3/13/2017) when they issued the ban to check if Enterprise would be open at all (I suspected not), and if they weren't open how could I drop off the car on the scheduled date. They said they would charge me an extra day despite the fact that over that day, nobody would be able to rent that car anyway, so they're not suffering from any extra revenue loss. So much for "treating customers like family in a corporate world." It is all about them making money...10.0 Wonderful

I chose Avis after I missed getting to New Haven in time to pick up my car from Hertz. Hertz told me I would have to pay $170 more if I picked up the car the next day, plus I would have had to Uber around until then. Avis had a car for almost the same price I had originally been paying with Hertz, their office was right in the train station, and they were open 2 hours later than Hertz! Reserved and picked up the car within minutes. It was a Toyota Corolla and worked great! Everything from checkin to checkout was smooth sailing. I’m going with Avis from now on whenever possible.4.0 Mediocre
