Pros: While walking in the streets on a cold, windy, snowy, rainy day, the thought of going back to the hotel was pure happyness, as the hotel is so warm and cozy, It starts at the reception, continues in the corridors. Even the pool is warmer than all the pools in other hotels, I used it in the morning before breakfast and before going to bed at night. The extensive opening hours of the pool are a big advantage. The breakfast is the best I travel a lot, stay in nice hotels, none of them compares to this one...best juices, best fresh fruit, best bacon and eggs, best waffles. Pros: Cannot say enough about how great our stay was here! We extended our stay by a day we loved it so much. The prices were very reasonable. They checked us in 2 hrs early with zero hassle. All of the room supplies were included. While not exceedingly spacious, everything about the room and hotel oozed modern style. There was interesting literature on the shelves. The beds were clean and comfortable. In the lobby was a hip restaurant with delicious and affordable faire which we frequented almost every day, and at night became a popular bar until 1 am. There were many other places to eat, shop, or stroll past from the Hoxton's central location, but it was far enough removed from the main tourist areas to feel somewhat local. I would recommend this place to anyone except maybe those traveling with children, as I believe they had to "cheat" to fit us into a single room, and we are smaller than your average humans as it was.

The location was very convenient, walk to most tourists attractions and a tourist restaurants. The bedding was clean. Due to the urin smell in the bathroom the hotel gave us breakfast vouchers.

Pros: The location is perfect for convenience to attractions of Amsterdam and places to eat. Amsterdam overall is so walkable and from this base it is easy to just set out & explore the city. The breakfast was ample and satisfying, plenty to choose from the buffet plus fresh preparations. It is also very close to a grocery store so you can easily get vittles & wine to consume in your room if you need to economize. My room was very small but I didn't need more and it suited my needs perfectly. Luxurious ensuite bathroom and good supply of hot water. Bed & pillows were comfortable & the duvet was cozy (my visit was in December).

I mentioned this to the front desk and they told me that they were very sorry for this and to ask for a more convenient room when I stay there again. The overall impression was good, but I think a price of Euro 85 to Euro 95 would be more appropriate. The breakfast was nice and enough to satisfy this 193 cm / 114 kg guy. The bed was also large enough for me. The tv was quite some distance from the bed an was quite small - and up grade to a larger flat-screen would be appreciated.

Pros: Location, the hotel is close to everywhere. The greatest thing about the hotel is definitely the location. And also the prices are fair. Amsterdam got very expensive lately after switching to european currancy.

Pros: The rooms were not large but a good size for a hotel in an older building. The breakfast was nice. Enjoyed the option to have fried eggs or omelettes cooked to order. Check in was quick and all staff were friendly and accommodating.
This hotel is in the museum district but a 30 minute walk from the train station and the harbour.

The location was AMAZING, really good strategic location to try out everything, specially for first timers, the staff was really nice and helpful and the people that stayed there completely put me at ease with the fact that I was sleeping with 11 strangers (only at peak times though, sometimes to room is breezy during the week), they were all very friendly.
