Pros: While walking in the streets on a cold, windy, snowy, rainy day, the thought of going back to the hotel was pure happyness, as the hotel is so warm and cozy, It starts at the reception, continues in the corridors. Even the pool is warmer than all the pools in other hotels, I used it in the morning before breakfast and before going to bed at night. The extensive opening hours of the pool are a big advantage. The breakfast is the best I travel a lot, stay in nice hotels, none of them compares to this one...best juices, best fresh fruit, best bacon and eggs, best waffles. Pros: Cannot say enough about how great our stay was here! We extended our stay by a day we loved it so much. The prices were very reasonable. They checked us in 2 hrs early with zero hassle. All of the room supplies were included. While not exceedingly spacious, everything about the room and hotel oozed modern style. There was interesting literature on the shelves. The beds were clean and comfortable. In the lobby was a hip restaurant with delicious and affordable faire which we frequented almost every day, and at night became a popular bar until 1 am. There were many other places to eat, shop, or stroll past from the Hoxton's central location, but it was far enough removed from the main tourist areas to feel somewhat local. I would recommend this place to anyone except maybe those traveling with children, as I believe they had to "cheat" to fit us into a single room, and we are smaller than your average humans as it was.

Pros: I spent two nights at the NH Barbizon and I only have positive things to say. It was a group of 5 friends and we couldnt be happier with our stay. The hotel in itself is beautifully decorated. The location is excellent across from Amsterdam Central and all the trolleys, but the best part of the hotel was the staff. Daniel helped my friends and I not only with our luggage, but with advice on getting around the city, recommendations for restaurants, and sightseeing. Overall great experience, and upon my return to Amsterdam I will definitely stay here and hope to get assistance from Daniel!

Loved the robe, slippers and balcony with view of Amsterdam Centraal! The location was perfect. Hotel is historic so parts of it are older but for the location and price I paid I would absolutely stay here again. Also I ordered a pizza from room service and was amazed. It may have been the best pizza I have ever had!

The management responded with an upgrade at a reasonable rate and free drinks at the bar. The rest of the staff was also great. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in our room & the bartender opened our bottle without corkage fees, gave us crystal glasses to drink out of & even gave us some snacks to enjoy, all on the house! Pros: I booked this place because I spent the previous night on plane, so I thought I’d splurge at an upscale hotel to ensure I’d get a good night’s sleep.
Our room was four stories down from the nightclub. In spite of that distance, the “oontz oontz” was so loud as to be impossible to sleep through. I was exhausted, so the hour it took to reaccommodate us at the front desk seemed like a week. Definitely not worth the money.
