Pros: The rooms were very nice and the staff members were friendly and helpful. I lost my glasses on the airport shuttle in the lady at the front desk, Mary, was able to contact the shuttle driver who found them and brought them back to the hotel. Mary even brought them up to our room.

Cons: They still haven't figured out how to operate in the time of COVID. No housekeeping is fine but then please come up with a system to take out trash, refill toiletries and coffee, etc. Also the restaurant / breakfast is disorganized and it is totally unclear how to get food, too many people cutting in line because of the chaos. Also never enough people at the front desk -- large groups of airline staff checking in or out together means that regular chumps like us are left waiting in line forever.

Pros: Embassy Suites is one of my favorite hotels, and the Anchorage location is no exception. The rooms are clean and quiet. The shuttle was a lifesaver. The fitness room was excellent, as was the pool. On this trip we really relied on the laundry facilities and were pleased there were enough washers/dryers so there wasn't a wait to use them or it was very little. Since we traveled in the summer, we also relied on the blackout shades. It was a phenominal experience!

Pros: The building was just built earlier this year, but was already showing signs of wear and lack of upkeep. Our room was comfortable and quiet on the back side of the building. The hallways, stairways, and elevators looked like they had not be vacuumed or cleaned in a week. There was cracker crumbs on the carpet next to the bed. There were some very noisy and guest staying on our floor the slammed doors and yelled in the hall most of the night. I will not stay there again.

Pros: The hotel seemed relatively empty on a day that most hotels in Anchorage were full. There was free parking and free Wi-Fi. The staff was efficient and there were no waits.
Cons: The location is a bit odd and not particularly convenient to anywhere unless you have a rental car, which we did. The decor is a bit cheesy and the room is a bit small for an extended stay hotel, but larger than most of the hotels downtown.

Pros: Evening front desk manager, Meagan, was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. Not many out there can remember a clients name. Will have to be back a couple of times over the next few months and will definitely stay here.

Pros: It was nicely decorated as updated and very clean.
Cons: The heater/ac unit I my room ran constantly wich was ok kind of sounded like a fan but it would squeak/ chirp every so often and I had to turn music on to drowned it out. And I should just travel with my own pillows but I really hate hotel pillows that are so fluffy and soft. But it's a nice hotel and I'd stay there again.

Pros: Convenient location. Clean room. Pretty good wifi which is not the usual for Alaska . Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Very thin walls. Drapes wouldn't close all the way because the a/c was in the way so light was pouring in all night. Had to sleep with a pillow over my head.

5.4
Pros: Good central location for shopping and dining. Friendly staff. A decent breakfast included. Pool
Cons: My five year old son found an empty vodka bottle under the bed. There was popcorn, bottle caps and other debris under the bed. My wife had to borrow a vacuum from staff to finish cleaning the room. Just as we were planning on using the pool, it was closed for cleaning at 3pm until sometime the next day so we had to use a pool at another Hilton property, an inconvenience since our room was just across from the pool but at least they did give us another option to swim.

Pros: The room was clean and the bed was semi comfortable. The bathroom was very clean.
Cons: I wish they had a coffee maker, microwave and a mini fridge. Also, the TV was outdated and too high. I had to lay on the bed to watch it or my neck would hurt. Also, VERY thin walls. You can hear the neighbors and their activities.

Pros: The poor man stayed up late to let me in after my flight came in late, after 1 am! So thankful for that.
Cons: However, there was suspicious activity going on in the parking lot. Lots of cars running, with and without people in them, people walking back and forth between them, and this was well after midnight. The room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that it was making me nauseous. After emptying most of my febreeze on the room, it was better. Laid down, and five minutes in start itching, thinking it might just be my paranoia, I tried to ignore it. But after ten minutes I get up to check myself and sure enough I find a bed bug in my shirt and I have 10 bites on my arm and leg. I used packing tape to pat the bed and found another one. I left that hotel at 2:45 in the morning to stay else where and spent the next day doing laundry at the hottest temps I could. I sent them an account of my night, and haven't heard back from them yet.

Cons: My girlfriend and i knew we would be arriving around 2am from the airport (flight arrival, 1:21am). We called ahead a couple times that night to see if this would be a problem. at around 9pm we were told sometime around 2am would be fine. upon flight arrival we called, before 2am, and were told the door would be open and/or the key would be left out- it was unclear, a red flag. we arrived just after 2am. Doors locked, no one in sight. we got into an open door in the hallway that accessed our room but couldn't find any key to the locked room. we knocked "politely" on the trailer door as a note said to do if one was locked out after hours. No one answered. we knocked louder. returning a couple times to do so. We called the same number that no longer picked up. We left around 3am to walk to find another hotel. Although many reviews warned "save your money" we figured we'd be fine with Qupqugiaq because we'd stayed at dirt cheap places in India, Belize, Nicaragua, Mexico, etc. We figured our standards were low enough. Now i'd say the same, "save your money" to anyone arriving anytime near 2am. We'd have preferred they told us our late arrival would have been a problem.

Pros: The hotel is very neat, eclectic place, located in midtown with easy access to most of anchorage. Many amenities are within walking distance. The staff was by far the kindest and friendliest that I have ever encountered (I am a traveling builder and have stayed at hundreds of hotels across North America). There is a nice common area, that is quiet and great for working, but also provides the opportunity to interact with with the hotels other guests, especially during breakfast. If you are looking to make memories, and maybe a friend too, look no further.
Cons: The stairs to the upper level rooms were outdoors, which didn't really bother me, but may not appeal to some. In my opinion it's a small issue for some, that will be easily forgotten with the Inn's world class customer service.

Pros: friendly staff, proximity to bus stop (15-20 min ride into Anchorage for $2; car rental $30/day offseason), good value for price, upgraded my room for 4 nights :)
Cons: not the place to bring your mom or grandma. you'll meet some Alaska residents, thats for sure. Building is not super new and there are not many amenities, but it'll do

Pros: Cheap price that provides you what you need. Friendly staff and travelers from all over. Decent location with food options nearby and a shared kitchen for you to use. Shared bathroom has a toilet and shower with soap/shampoo provided.

Cons: The room was filthy! We asked for an extra pillow and they were "out" the whole time we were there. If you want extra towels, you have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk and IF they have any they might let you have one. The kitchenette is not stocked with anything, but you can ask for some stuff...good luck getting any. I would not recommend this place.
