Price was the draw and at least the counter was still open and they had a car despite our much delayed arrival. Bad news: ridiculous wait to get the car (40 mins) and was not informed that car had significant crack in the windshield. Fortunately someone had written what was an apparently indecipherable note regarding this issue on a side window so we didn’t need to worry about paying for it.Reviewed 17 Mar 2026

When I arrived in PSP the line to pick up the car was enormous. I waited in line for 30 minutes and it didn’t move. I didn’t have the time to waste on this, decided I couldn’t wait and left. Unacceptable. Took an uber instead.Reviewed 3 Feb 2026

The budget counter gave our car (minivan or equivalent) away to a family of 3, when we needed it to hold 7 people. We had to wait over an hour & a half for a car & when one was ready we got. Ford Expedition. It didn’t have enough room to hold our luggage, the oil change light was on, and the front bumper was loose. Do not recommend.Reviewed 13 Nov 2025

My experience was AWFUL. The line at the counter was extremely long and moved VERY SLOW. Then, after that 40 minute wait, I went outside to get the car and there were 30 people waiting for cars and they told me it would be at least 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, they said the type of car I reserved was not available (SUV) but I could take a Chevy impala that had a bunch of dents with X’s marking them on it. I took it b/c I didn’t have the time or patience to wait. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.Reviewed 11 Nov 2025

Had to wait a long time for a short line. Systems were not working. I had to sign but had no indication what I was signing for. I got no confirming paperwork since the location was declared paperless by the clerk that helped me. Car was nice and worked well On return the agents would not talk to me and would not answer my questions. Conclusion: nice car; shitty, shitty customer service. Shitty! Shitty!Reviewed 3 Mar 2025
