Unfortunately, we had an awful experience. The Hertz dealer at Shreveport was understaffed and under stocked. I waited approximately 4 hours for my car. The young lady at the desk had to go and wash vehicles herself. There were over 20 customers waiting for their vehicles. I had booked a vehicle to be picked up on the 22nd of June weeks in advance. When I attempted to get my keys, the gal said she could see my reservation. But, she said it was forcing her to charge me again and it would be up me to get my money back for the “extra” charge. I did not receive the type of vehicle I had requested. It was a nice car, clean, filled with fuel and reliable. To top it off the rental was for the incorrect amount of days and the return location was incorrect. We spent an hour and a half, while driving, with multiple agents that corrected the days and the drop off point. As of today, we have not received our refund. The poor gal at the desk was doing all she could do to help. She was not getting any help from the other two workers that were present. She was begging them to wash vehicles and they basically refused. Customers should be aware that they are not able to arrive at the airport, grab their keys and drive away. Kayak should warn customers that they may be dealing with difficulties when renting cars from Hertz at this location.Reviewed 26 June 2025
