Pros:

Absolutely nothing.

Cons:

I rented a van from Sixt for 5 days. My family was traveling from Denver into the mountains after arriving to the airport. We had to take a train downtown because the booking was not made for the airport. I had called to change this, but they told me it was not possible.... the day we arrived they confirmed the car was ready for pickup. We arrive by 430pm and they inform me there is a hold on my account. I asked what this meant and they informed me ‘they have no access to see why there is a hold and they also would not be able to give me the rental car.’ They told me ‘I had to contact their corporate customer service to resolve this issue’ - but they were closed because it was Sunday afternoon. They left us stranded downtown with no rental car and no explanation as to why they wouldn’t give us the car we prepaid for and had confirmation of reservation.

Standard SUV

Becuase we used Kayak ( a third party) we essentially got screwed over. Our pick up site was not where we originally planned and by the time we arrived at the correct location they had given our rental car to someone else. They had no other cars to rent to us. We were charged for a car we never received. Enterprise was unable to provide a refund due to using Kayak and we can not get ahold of someone with Kayak to discuss our situation. Extremely frustrating.

Made a reservation just to have them call me while on the shuttle to them saying they didn’t have the car I requested or any car that could substitute. Get your inventory and availability portals fixed please.

Went to pick up the rental car and the rental car office was closed. Was told to get on the bus and go to another place that has also hurts and I did. And had to pay $150 more.

I called to cancel my reservation and it wasn’t done. I couldn’t pick up my rental on the first day due to Hurricane Ian. My flight to Colorado from Florida was cancelled. I called to change the date on the reservation and I was told the rates are more expensive for only 2 days instead of the originally booked 3 days. I advised them to cancel my reservation and it was never done.

The car reeked of weed. Felt like I needed to wash my clothes when I got out. When I arrived at my destination, my host asked me if I had smoked pot on the way — which I had not.

This Hertz location literally does not exist. I showed up and it was abandoned. I called and Hertz told me that, despite sending me a confirmation email for my reservation and accepting payment in advance, they had closed this location months earlier. They also told me they had no other cars available in Denver, leaving me stranded in a city where I had no place to stay. It could not possibly have been a worse experience, unless, perhaps, a Hertz employee had run me over with the car and then rented it to another customer.
