Cons:
The staff at the location did not have a car available for me and I was never made aware. I called to see if it would be ready early and that’s when I was informed of the issue. They had to go get one from the airport which resulted in me picking up my car 3 hours late and even then they never assured me it would be there they just kept saying to show at 3 and they would see what they could do2.0 Poor

I made a reservation online to pick-up a car the same day. I showed up with about 20 minutes before they closed, only to be informed that there were two cars left in their inventory and they only had two reservations in their computer. The problem was that there were three people waiting with confirmed reservations in the lobby and none of us were the two reservations listed in his computer. When I asked 'if one of the reservations in the system did not show up in the next 15 minutes could I have the remaining car?', he said he was leaving in 15 minutes, so it didn't matter. Overall, a very frustrating experience that left us without a car when we really needed one. All parts of this process failed, from the reservation to the customer service.Sixt

I rented a van from Sixt for 5 days. My family was traveling from Denver into the mountains after arriving to the airport. We had to take a train downtown because the booking was not made for the airport. I had called to change this, but they told me it was not possible.... the day we arrived they confirmed the car was ready for pickup. We arrive by 430pm and they inform me there is a hold on my account. I asked what this meant and they informed me ‘they have no access to see why there is a hold and they also would not be able to give me the rental car.’ They told me ‘I had to contact their corporate customer service to resolve this issue’ - but they were closed because it was Sunday afternoon. They left us stranded downtown with no rental car and no explanation as to why they wouldn’t give us the car we prepaid for and had confirmation of reservation.2.0 Poor

Lucas at the Double Tree in Denver was very helpful and understanding after my flight was delayed. Was able to recover some of the pricing since I did not meet my reservation time. 4 of 5 stars, would use again.Cons:
The only issue I had was with my airline, not Avis. Heads up: Just get the vehicle at the airport. I tried to save the $70 handling fee for airport pickup and drop off, and paid nearly that cost just for the ride to my hotel 45 mins away. Hindsight is 20/20, use the airport.6.4 Okay
