Everything was great except the pick up experience. The woman who helped us at the Avis counter was friendly, but the stall number that she gave us for the car was occupied by a different car than the one she has assigned us. We went to the Avis booth in the parking lot, and the woman there assigned us a different stall with a similar car to the one we had been promised. However, when we started loading our luggage into the car, another customer came up and showed us that he had been assigned that car as well. So we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman there agreed to assign another car to the other customer. Then, when we started up the car, it said "maintenance needed", so we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman told us that that was just about an oil change and not to worry about it.

Counter was closed. Went to booth in parking garage (freezing weather to review paperwork). Car was ready and clean. Tailgate closure was broken (part on order). Wish the car would have had heated seats in winter climate. Dropoff was easy and fast.

The Rogue SUV had a very smooth ride and since I did a lot of driving, that was important. One downside on the car was that the automatic lift on the trunk didn't work. Since the trunk lid was heavy, not having the auto lift was a pain. The person at the drop-off was friendly and helpful.
Excellent however I never got a final receipt. It was supposed to be emailed to me.

It was a fast easy check in and out process. The airport situation is horrible... If you are picking someone up that is dropping off a rental you have to pay to go into the parking garage, you can't just follow them in. And it's so confusing to people that do not go to the airport often. Besides that it was excellent!

I did not get a receipt for my payment. They said I would get it at drop off, but the place was closed the day of my drop off so I had to just leave the keys.
They tried charging more by adding insurance and extra fees with my knowledge and explaining the contract I was in hurry so quickly made me sign and I was on the way until I got back to return the car that’s when I found the extra free being charged but great service by refunding it back with any questions or issues

There were only 2 reps checking people in. It took over 30 minutes in line to get to a gentleman that could help me. ( He was very nice). There were at least 5 people at the kiosk at the car pick up rental level standing around. The lady checking people out at the gate, could have cared less to help anyone. She was on her phone. When I pulled up she said find the email and scan the code. I was not getting cell reception so I had to ask her how else I could get the code she was bothered and said check your text messages. Then went right back to being on her phone. The car that I ended up with had multiple small inconvenient issues. Side driver mirror didn’t adjust. The key fob was missing the front half. The key fob battery was also almost dead. I had to hold the key against the start stop bottom to get the car to start. The gentleman that checked me back in never asked how the car was only that he needed to get the mileage and then I was good to go. There was no one else checking in at the same time I checked in. Overall I was glad to have the rental car, but the rental experience has a huge amount of improvement that needs to be done.
Super friendly staff. Had to change the reservation for an early pickup and I was charged a lot.

The car had a major starter problem. Got nowhere during hours on the phone. When I returned it I explained what had happened, i.e. took at least 8 minutes & up to 19 minutes each time I restarted it to get it to kick in. It was clearly not a battery issue. Luckily I only had to do this 5x because I rented for 24 hours to attend a funeral. when I brought it back they were completely disinterested & dismissive of my concerns. Didn't even write it down. They said it was because it was cold. Ummmmm....about 200 other cars in the parking lot after the funeral & mine the only one that wouldn't start ....Their lack of concerns seems obviously the reason I got a car that wouldn't start most of the time. Also, renting in Nebraska in January & the car did not include a scraper. Really??? You have to fly across the country with your own scraper or go buy a brand new one every time? (Which by the way would require turning the car off, so figure in another up to 19 minutes to restart it...)

Hertz did not honor the rate quoted on Kayak. The final price was considerably higher. Also, it appears their car servicing person cleaned the inside of the windshield with the same rag used to check the oil. Nearly bald tires wew also a concern.
would like to get the car make and model that I selected on my reservation. Garage pick up station closed immediately after we picked up the car keys. would have liked to be able to ask a Budget employee a question or two on car operation before we left the garage.

Car had a lot of miles and smelled like smoke and chemicals. Needed to use a lot of Lysol and aired it out for several hours to mitigate the smell. Cloth seats were clean but stained.
