No one was at office and after calling 4 different numbers got someone who said they were out of cars. They promised to call back to arraign a pick up but did not. Totally worst car rental experience in my life - and I’m old!Reviewed 5 Jan 2024

Cons:Long waits to get vehicle. We waited about an hour to get our vehicle and there were only 3 people in front of us. They attempted to charge us for a scratch on the vehicle but we took photos of all the original scratches.Reviewed 6 Nov 2019

Pros:Staff was nice, however they had no record of our booking, and we had to rent for a higher cost than what our originally booked amount was.Cons:Careful even if you have a confirmation #, we had ours and they still didn't have any record of our rental, even after I showed the agent my confirmation # and screen shot of the booking.Reviewed 28 Apr 2019

Pros:Car was excellent as was service.Cons:I chose Payless because of price. Supposedly $175 for a weekly rental. That they agreed was the confirmed price. When I declined the insurance as I always do, since I have insurance on my credit card, I was told they would only allow this if I could produce a letter proving I had insurance from the credit card company. Or I could bring it later to one of their offices. Since I didn't have access to a printer this was not possible. Payless then charged an additional $18/day or $125 for the week for "insurance". This essentially doubled the cost. I have rented from Fiesta in downtown San Jose before at a much cheaper price. We only chose Payless since we arrived with heavy suitcases and wanted a rental car from the Los Cable airport. We won't be renting from Payless again.Reviewed 12 Aug 2018

3 dollars per day is a hoaxCons:I rented a Jetta for 3 usd per day, but it turned ou that third party insurance ( basic by the way) is 33 usd per day. I think this is how they get you yo rent with them and then hike up the price. Also I came with the tank half full and they were charging me 70 usd to fill it up. In MEXICO that translates to 3.5 times the cost of gas. I took it myself given the price.Reviewed 15 July 2017

Horrible service and hidden fees that doubled rentCons:A listed total cost of 250 cost us 530 because of fees charged upon arrival. That is over double the cost!!!then the car maxes noises and had a service light. My husband spent over an hour at local office in Adan Jose only to have employees refuse to swap car out! Be aware that although they tell you total cost in Cabo that in NOt true!!! Nothing you can do once there with three children:-(Reviewed 11 Jan 2017
