Pros: The hotel exudes charm. It is probably designed more for adults than to accommodate children. It is tucked away and difficult to reach by auto but worth the effort.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and accommodations were excellent
Cons: Parking was a bit confusing - could have used better instructions once arriving at property how to navigate
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hotel in a great location and staff very friendly. Our room was large with some bold traditional furniture and very convenient bathroom.
Cons: We felt that the management of the hotel could be better. We had to wait 20 minutes, albeit in the hotel bar, to check in because there was one couple who arrived just before us. The hotel does not seem to be able to accommodate two sets of check ins at the same time. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the quality was great but a few items, like cheese, pancakes and scrambled eggs had run out and staff needed promoting to replenish. We arrived about an hour before breakfast closing time. More guests arrived after us and they did not have a full selection to choose from either. There were only two people managing breakfast, one of whom was serving the tea and coffee, so I don't know if they had a staffing problem that morning.

Pros: This was an amazing new hotel! The staff were eager to help, friendly, and spoke excellent English. They did not rush, but rather took the time to ensure all questions were answered and that we were well-oriented to the hotel and the area. Even the cleaning staff were top-notch. The place was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. Although the city was a reasonable walk away, the tram was only a couple of hundred meters away. The hotel had no dedicated parking, but there was plenty of free parking just across the street. We didn't eat breakfast there but there were plenty of good options in the neighborhood. Even our large dog seemed to enjoy his stay!

In a setting that dates back to 1528, this 4-star hotel elegantly combines the charm of yesteryear with a more modern feel, giving its 63 rooms a unique identity. Guests are invited to step back in time and follow in the footsteps of Marshall Turenne (1647) or travel incognito like the Prussian King Frederick the Great in 1740

Pros: Clean beautiful hotel. Amazing room and walking distance to town centre. Breakfast was good also.
Cons: Communication with this hotel is extremely poor. No replies to emails. Promises to call back however did not ever respond. Valet parking is terrible. Moved car to outside parking lot with no security. After viewing my dashcam the driver drove my car back to the hotel (5 minute drive) with the HANDBRAKE LEFT ON.. On check out, we got discovered our car was loaded up with someone else's luggage!! Whoever parked my car parked in to a sharp hedge, forcing my bumper over a tree stump, causing damage to the bottom of my car. When I bought this up with a staff member, he said he had to do that as the car was long... Instead of parking it elsewhere! No offer to take this matter further.

The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful the food the best we have ever eaten and the special cake they made for his dinner was amazing. Couldn’t fault the hotel Susannah on the reception desk deserves a special mention , she was the kindest person explaining things to us and going out of her way to help us with some minor problem. Wonderful breakfast (to make your own vegetable juice and tea, also to cook your own egg). Staff is polite and helpful. We have a pleasant stay in this hotel : )

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. Also, the staff was very nice, We had a gorgeous view from the balcony. Unfortunately, when we were there, it was too hot to sit out and enjoy it.
Cons: The breakfast was okay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. In the midst of the old city, in proximity to parkings, restaurants and shops, few hundred meters from Little France. Helpful and polite staff. Adequate breakfast. Room comfortable and very clean.
Cons: Noisy air-condition and the lift small and very slow.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: great location in a historic building
Cons: the air conditioner failed at 2am, but staff were quick to replace it with a fan. also, we could not access the property or the parking because police closed off all roads to the old city for an event. It took us 90 minutes of driving to find a parking garage close enough to walk to the hotel. This is an unusual circumstance so kind of hard to blame the hotel for it. The front desk did their best to tell us how to get to a nearby parking garage.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This was the first time that I visited Strasbourg. Without knowing anything about the city, I booked my stay at Hôtel Gutenberg. The location is centrally located The Cathédral Notre Dame de Strasbourg was no more than 150(est) meters away. The part of the city that is located on the island is walkable. There is tram service if one desires. I walked from the train station to the hotel and estimate that it was 15 minutes (I walk fairly quickly). If I return to Strasbourg, I will consider this as my first choice.

Not only is the location perfect, it is only a 10 minute walk from the central station (and I mean a real 10 minute stroll from a non walker!) the hotel’s breakfast was varied and plentiful at all hours (even at 10am) and the front desk staff extremely attentive.
Cons: I had a single room on the 4th floor, and the bathroom is quite restrictive but it had an enclosed shower (I hate water getting everywhere) and a very cold AC system ❄️

Pros: Excellent location, a large room under the roof with a lot of charm. Very nice staff.
Cons: We would have appreciated a few more drawers for our clothes a d more fruits for breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room design and hotel location
Cons: Unfortunately our room 001 (ground floor) was incredibly noisy. I was traveling with my 13 year old daughter and any guests coming up or down the stairs (some at 1am, others at 7am) could be clearly heard. As a result we slept very badly despite having requested a quiet room. So I guess great hotel if you sleep upstairs. Otherwise not worth the price.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab location, excellent room and parking.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent. A wide choice of very good food.
Cons: The bathroom felt a little dated. A walk-in shower/ wet room would have been more in keeping with the hotel's 'spa' identity.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel was located on pedestrian area and closed for car access at late mid night. It was hard to find the hotel on navigation even!!! Hardly found the hotel... Night shift manager was useless snd helpless when we arrived to the hotel at late mid night 02:30 am. He told us neither there was booking on our name nor room available to offer us. It had been hard to convince him that I had paid booking on my late arrival. In fact We had put as a remark that we would check in late between 02:00 to 03:00 am. I had back to my car to get my mobile and shown him my booking confirmation. Finally got the room at 03:30 am after one hr efforts. I think; either hotel management and booking.com must improve their booking service Or hotel management must change their nihht shift manager and assign someone who is polite and helpful as such person will ruin their reputation... The stuff at reception in the morning was kind and allow us one hr late check out at 01:00 pm instead 12:00.
7.4 Good
Pros: Staff was helpful and accommodating. It would have been a great location if coming by bus or train.
Cons: Very difficult to drive to. We had difficulties finding the property with GPS. Fortunately we were able to find parking as it was a Sunday night. Otherwise you will have to pay for valet parking. Room did not have a view, and was a looked a little dated.

Cons: night front office manager not particularly welcoming
5.7 Okay
Pros: The location, the installation and design of the lobbies and rooms (excl. bath-room)
Cons: The Sauna is poorly installed , and not in line with the norms used in the rest of the hotel. The Sauna was overheated (110°c) and hotelpersonnel would not correct the temperature.
6.7 Good
Pros: the location is perfect, personel nice and surroundings great.
Cons: -
7.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was so conviently located in teh beautiful area of Petite France, amoung beautiful old buildings, flowers and the water. Plenty of local cafes and restaurants close by.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was large and comfortable, with windows that opened and we had a toilet in a seperate room We were literally above water flowing under our room (Strassburg is known as the Venice of France). There was a computer set up downstairs to access the internet free.
Cons: The breakfast was quite expensive for a meal when you don't actually feel like much to eat (22 Euros per person) so we ate at a cafe literally around the corner from the hotel for a fraction of the price. Wifi in the room was also expensive, so we didn't use our laptop, just the public computer downstairs.
6.0 Good
Pros: great location and very pleasant staff
Cons: bathroom and toilet needed better ventilation. no water provided

Pros: Lovely rooms
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, excellent room, good price
Cons: no
7.6 Good
Pros: This is a fine hotel.
Cons: The designers were more interested in design than in comfort or practicality. The bedlamps are charming but do not cast sufficient light for reading. The mirrors are ludicrous. One cannot see one's face or hair in a triangular mirror. As so often, the shower faces in the wrong direction, spraying out into the room.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Size of room was fantastic. Location was only steps away from Notre Dame Cathedral. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Check in/out was a breeze.
Cons: The only somewhat negative was that we had to park in a public lot which was a long way from the hotel so we had to shuffle some items around in our luggage so as to only have 1 bag to drag through the streets to the hotel. But given the layout and age of Strasbourg and location of hotel, it was to be expected and was really not a big issue.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location!!!!
Cons: Administrator who met us was not helpful and friendly. But her colleague next day was quite the opposite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful and assisted me in a time-sensitive problem by offering their own solution. Breakfast was good, location and room view were superb.
Cons: The room was much smaller than I had expected. In fact, it's the smallest room I've ever had. I have no idea what the other rooms look like, this was a single room, but still.

6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very good to central downtown activities.
6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel is very central located, close to main city attractions, easy to shops restaurants and the river, you can even find underground parking only few minutes away. Main receptionist spoke many languages, night staff was very helpful, generally hotel has a very good friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Only thing is that the bed in our bedroom was a bit short and small. if you are more then 6.2 foot (1.89 m) tall, you might find it uncomfortable.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is very well located, nicely and romantically designed, and the staff is friendly. The only problem we had was that the romance somehow detracts from confort: there is an elevator, but guests have yet to climb a few stepts up and down, and the rooms are small.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff members at Hotel Beaucour were so helpful and friendly and were happy to give us recommendations. We stayed in a Family Room which was very spacious and had little touches in the bathroom that were like staying in a luxury hotel. But best of all, the location of this hotel is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Pros: The location. The friendliness of the staff. The quiet surroundings. Everything in fact. We hired bikes and cycled into Strasbourg, which was easy. We also used the park and ride with the tram which was less strenuous and cheap at 4euros 20 for the two of us for all day.

Pros: Great breakfast in a beautifull room . Also possibilty for having breakfast outside. Self service but anything but simple. Nice egg cooking service(!) Free coffee, tea all day in the nearby lounge.
Cons: Maybe better driving instructions to the reception is the only thing that I can come up with.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was far from the inner city, in the forest, silent and fresh air. There was big garden around the castle full of trees and flowers. The castle is old, completely renewed and very nice. The bed was really comfortable. There was a small restaurant outside at the big gate, which is cheap and the food is delicious.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful historic building and surrounding woodland Air conditioning worked well Anti mosquito repellant provided Staff friendly and helpful
Cons: One mattress not comfortable. Had to sleep on other bed. (Two singles put side by side) Didn't realise there was a mosquito repellant provided until I was leaving the room. Would have been good to have been told about it either by staff or with a visible note in the room. As a result had multiple unpleasant bites during my stay. There is a nearby river with stagnant water. Nearest public transport (tram or bus) is 10-15 mins walk away A bit more choice for breakfast would be good.

Cons: The hotel isn't worthy of 4 stars. The airco didn't work (room was an oven) and opening the windows wasn't an option (too noisy). Cushons were way too flat. Impossible to sleep! Breakfast was not ok: bacon burned, eggs too dry etc. I don't recommend this hotel, certainly not in summertime.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good location - walkable to La Petite France and cathedral. Evening Concierge very helpful finding a restaurant for us + 5 friends
Cons: Room quite small. Aircon didn't work overnight so not much sleep. Told concierge before going out to dinner but not fixed. No mirror in bedroom - only on inside of bathroom doors. Impossible to operate light switches, particularly in the middle of the night. Could not see them. This was a newly renovated room. (611). Will not stay again at this price. Not good value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place for visiting Strabourg.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, professional staff, very clean room & bathroom, Room & bathroom were tight but this is quite typical. Excellent location in center of old part of city near pedestrian streets. Public parking nearby was not overpriced.
Cons: Shabby carpet in room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Maison Rouge is in the middle of a renovation to an art deco style. Despite the construction, the hotel was clean and inviting. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about the hotel! First, the structure, interior, decor, everything was beautiful! The room was incredibly comfortable and the amenities exceeded all expectations. The best part about the Hotel, though, was the staff. They were always incredibly patient and helpful. The gentleman we interacted with the most during our stay was Edward. He made acclimating to the new environment incredibly easy. He was able to answer all of our questions easily and quickly, and gave us a lot of great advice that made the trip that much easier!
Cons: We had absolutely no issues or problems with Hotel Maison Rouge! The entire hotel was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff was courteous and helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room modern clean comfy bed perfect bathroom very central location really good
Cons: It was very hot and with the window opened very noisy from outside but when air con on the hum of the air con annoying. Not the hotel fault the weather was as it was though:)
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, staff and the breakfast. Also I liked the hotel design.
Cons: Little bit pricey. Bathroom is to small and not comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: extraordinary breakfast, superior location, very modern rooms
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in the perfect location for what we wanted to see and had lots of restaurants and shopping in all directions. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and professional. Housekeeping not only made up the room each day but also returned in the late afternoon/evening to set out the bath robes and slippers, which wasn't necessary but we appreciate the added effort to go above and beyond. We had to park in a public parking garage about 3 minute walk from the hotel but we received a discount ticket from the hotel which dropped the daily parking fee from 44 Euro to 18 Euro per day which we also appreciated.
Cons: Our only complaint is that the pillows were a bit stiff and didn't compress very well so took some getting use to. The breakfast was average although there was a full range of items to chose from.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good buffet style breakfast. For once the coffee machine produced good coffee. Good friendly reception staff
Cons: Maybe a bar? (There is a bar counter, but it's not a real bar to sit at.)
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Central position, ideal for walking to the main tourist attractions an restaurants. Close to the shops. Very nicely decorated in the main public areas and the staircase has beautiful glass motifs on each floor along with very attractive ceilings and furnishings on each lobby. The lounge is very nicely set out and we were impressed by the decor throughout. Nice touch is the loan of the hotel umbrellas by the main door if it's raining.
Cons: Very difficult to locate as it is on a non- motorised traffic street and the satnav in our nearly new Volvo XC60 was totally useless once we reached the centre of the city. By luck we parked in the correct underground carpark accessed by the tram interchange at the Klber Square And a short walk to the hotel thereafter. The hotel will provide you with a discount ticket for the underground but we were not certain that it worked for us on leaving yesterday morning so remember to ask reception for the discount ticket. We understood that the hotel has its own carparking facility and when we asked about this we were told that it had to be booked at the same time as the room.
