I booked on Kayak and it states that it’s located in terminal. Which is false!!! You have to take a shuttle. I booked the managers special which should fit 5 passengers & 2 suitcases. The girl at the counter was very rude. She tells us that we will get the largest truck which is the managers special. We asked that because we don’t need such a vehicle and it would difficult to get around. She said it would cost $20 to cancel the reservation and a smaller car would cost more! We went ahead & took the TRUCK!!! It was filthy, the side mirrors kept moving when driving and the mirrors could not be adjusted electronically! This is a major hazard! I want my money back!Reviewed 1 July 2026

We booked thrifty via a third party so we could pay in advance and when we arrived there were so many people there to pick up a car that we were put on a wait list, only to find out they ended up running out of cars (lucky we had gone to a different place to see if we could get one, although we paid over double what the original rental from Thrifty was meant to be). The employees at Thrifty Albuquerque were apologetic and tried to help, but said there was nothing they could do because the third party companies reserve cars without knowing the amount of inventory available. Whether this is a Thrifty problem, or a problem with the rental car business (esp 3rd party) overall, I’m not sure but it shouldn’t be this way and I’ve never had this problem before, so there should be some oversight for car reservations - especially those that have been prepaid as we are now having to fight with the third party (Qeek) to get our money back.Reviewed 9 Sept 2024
