Virgin's standard ticket has 23kg luggage included. What is the problem with a ticket bought online through agents such as BYOJet and Kayak?"

They told me there would be people "escort " me through the security check point and the flight would help us. But once I checked in my luggage and passed the security check, I received a new flight ticket through email. They totally changed my connecting flight to a much later one. Only 20 mins later after they told me to check in my luggage and promise the connecting flight would wait for me. Later the manager said" I don't know who told you that, but no one could catch a connecting flight in 10 mins.""

Cons: "Customer service and ability to sort out technical issues were truly appalling. My touch screen monitor crashed and the controls that would enable me to alert crew members for any concerns also didn't work. Both issues happened twice. The second time, I informed them that if these technical issues continued to fail and couldn't be resolved, I needed to be placed in another seat, of which I specifically told them was not to be a seat far behind my current row seat. Instead, they went and offered me a seat that was 22 rows behind, especially after I had paid extra fees to sit in the seat I was given higher up the aisle. I also informed them that I wasn't feeling well and the closer I was to the exit when we landed, the better. They ignored these concerns. That is unacceptable considering that it was their system that was faulty in the first place that led to these problems. Their staff also failed to regularly walk the aisles to ensure customers were okay with the service. I've been on planes whereby the crew is constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of. For example, I had a great experience with Korean Air where I saw staff every 10-15mins checking on customers. Air New Zealand completely failed in this regard. When my system crashed the second time, because I couldn't call anyone in the crew using the controls on my touch screen, and the person sat next to me was asleep (didn't want to wake him up to use his device to call!), I waited 25-30mins before going up to the crew station to seek help. I had to wait an additional 10-15mins before I even saw someone at the crew station. There are some other issues I encountered but the above were the main ones. This is the first time I've actually had to criticize an airline for it's customer service. I've been travelling for over 25 years and never encountered what I did today. I certainly won't be flying with them again."

Cons: "The staff from Air NZ made me lose my flight, keeping me doing queue after queue to pay for a piece of luggage that (apparently) was not included in a $350 fare. They wanted me to pay between $160 and $200 for putting a backpack in the plane!! Pay for almost another flight entirely! While I was going through the queues, the check in time ran out and, by the time I got to talk to someone at the desk to pay for the bag, the woman told me the plane didn't accept any more passengers... while I was still trying to get someone from the airline to help me! ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE. The plane was supposed to departure at 8:15 and I was still there at 7:15 trying to send my backpack to the cargo area...the solution? Re-book the flight, make me pay $185 in penalties and fees, plus $160-$200 for luggage and the difference of price when booking another flight."

I asked hostess what the deal was (because their food service is usually great) and she explained that in this new plane (Boeing 787) they removed a lot of the working areas for the crew. They have less space to work in order to be able to prepare food and drinks compared to Qantas's other planes (Airbus A380). This is also a brand new plane for this crew (literally the first flight for some for some of them), and they didn't know where some of the things on the plane were. I imagine after they've used the plane for a while and learn where everything is, they'll get better. I'll find out on the return flight back to Melbourne."

There were others on the flight that paid for first class that didn't pay as much as me and i was stuck in boarding group 6. The long, ridiculous AA boarding process consisting of 9 groups and 2 short lanes, taking about 20 minutes to get 30 people outside. 4. 30 people wander around outside on the tarmac, trying to find a sign for Albuquerque. 5. BAGGAGE HANDLERS tell some of the passengers that the planes have been switched, and we should now board the plane marked Flagstaff. 6. Gate agents come outside, receive information from -- again -- BAGGAGE HANDLERS -- and then tell everyone to go back inside. 7. Once inside, gate agents tell passengers they have no idea what is going on, where they will be departing from, or when. 8. Gate agents tell passengers to go through the (long, ridiculous) boarding process a second time, and get on the second plane on the left. 9. They made us pay $50 to check-in luggage, but then didn't bother to put the bags on our flight. They also tried to charge us twice for the privilege of checking bags. They had no flights that would get us home on the same day, then claimed that since 12 hours had elapsed, we had to repay to check bags. During the flight, they had non stop commercials for their credit card. Ugh"

Received multiple calls from Avianca but all in Spanish until fifth one in English hung up once we confirmed we understood there was a delay. Staff communicated different directions. Only one cafe to wait in. Substitute breakfast served was underwhelming. Plane was incredibly dated with life vests strewn about/not tucked away. Upon deboarding, incredibly unclear that we had to completely exit and go back through security, meaning we had no time between flights for the restroom or to buy water."

The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. My daughter said she slept very little overnight due to a rude passenger who was talking very loudly and using a phone. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee."

The selection of entertainment, poor in quality, I thought. There were lost of things to watch, but a lot of it was of poor quality. The food was acceptable, but again, it felt like it was done on-the-cheap, and I was eating airline food a la 20 years ago."

Finally at a quarter till 11am the screen at the gate changed back to Denver but still said 9:55am departure flight on time but united's website stated flight delayed till 11:55am. Upon return to Albuquerque from Denver bag was not on my flight so I had to hang out in Albuquerque although, I live an hour away because I have prescription meds in my checked bag I need to take 4 times daily. Would not fly United again"

Even though we are United Club members and credit card holders, we were charged nearly $400 to bring our luggage home, after paying just $30., yes, thirty, on Air New Zealand to take two extra bags! United's own overseas policy allows two bags, but they charged us anyway on return because we came on an airline that only allows one even though we paid ANZ to bring extra. Extremely illogical."

Cons: "When traveling with a service animal, it's kind of a given that I would be seated where there would be room for my dog. My dog is 70 pounds. There was no room for him to sit in front of me. The flight attendant just says "he can't sit in the isle". I asked her where would you like him to go? She says "not in the isle". A 2nd attendant was able to move me to a front row where there was space for him to sit on the floor in front of me."

My entertainment system was reset three times and it still didn't work properly - no sound and no ability to watch movies that were not child rated. Stewards have to learn to be quiet as some of us are trying to sleep on a 15 hour flight and aren't interested in their laughs and jokes as we are travelling business first because we have to go to work when we get there!!"
