Just a hiccup being added to the NZ Traveller Declaration a bit late.
The only thing that was less than excellent was the food server at dinner. (I had the chicken.) It wasn't that it was poorly heated or in difficult-to-open containers; it was just that it had a very peculiar taste. And I use that to describe not just the main course but the dessert as well. Very odd flavours for what seemed to be a mainstream item. I did like that the airline offered us a free glass of wine. The breakfast omelette wasn't bad, although it was quite bland.
Pros: "The crew were lovely - friendly and polite!"
Cons: "The delayed departure- but I truly understand that it was beyond the control of the company as the delay was weather related."
Pros: "Great crew and counter staffing. Only took about 10 minutes to get my ticket and half of that was due to some snag with the NZ visa details."

Comfortable premium economy but still cramped leg room. The staff were wonderful.
No individual entertainment screens on this flight. Would have been nice to know beforehand.
Pros: "Everything was marvelous. The staff, food, and entertainment were excellent just like on our flight with Qantas from Vancouver to Sydney."

Cons: "The entertaimnet headset socket was faulty and I had to hold the jack in a specific way so I could hear the vocal channels. Sometimes it just dropped out all together. Tried multiple headsets but having the socket and jack on the inside of the armrest where it was so easily knocked by you leg was so incredibly stupid and made it hard to get comfortable or move position in the seat. First time I've ever seen this on a plane. Ok, so Qantas got us there safely but the inflight movies its what makes it bearable."
Pros: "4 flights in 2 weeks Melbourne Cairns return & Melbourne Coolangatta return. Great staff induction from Qantas all flights were excellent"
Easy process and no delays. Economy-X seats could do with some lumbar support and the padding in the seat pan was compressed so a little uncomfortable, but LOVE the legroom.
Cons: "I didn't board this flight because of the restrictions imposed by the Australian government not to let passengers transit through their country. I received no communication about this from the airline prior to my check in at the airport. They were not helpful with any options as to what I should do."
Pros: "Crew was nice. Seats were ok. Paid for extra leg room but was not helpful. Wanted to upgrade to business class but they were not ready to negotiate. They had empty seats but wanted fill price. Their loss.."

Cons: "I went online to put that I needed gluten free food and when everyone else was getting their food I was told no gluten free food on domestic flights so I got no food. You need to take that option off of your website if you don’t intend to serve people with celiac."

It was not at all clear when purchasing the tickets that checked baggage was not included and cost $540 per bag. That’s unacceptable. I see it was clear if booking direct through the airline and a different economy ticket could have been purchased that included baggage. Kayak linked to flight centre where it was not clear though and there was no option to purchase the baggage inclusive economy version.

Pros: "I have been traveling at least 4 times in a year for last 20 years. I never had such a worst staff specially the Msnager of Fiji airline ground staff at Sydney airport named Christopher. Such a rude ignorant person. The amount of luggage including baby stroller I traveled from Los Angeles to Nadi. Nadi to Sydney was perfectly fine. When I checkin from Sydney to los angles, the Fiji manager said you have to pay for stroller. I said I came all the way from Los Angeles to Sydney like that and I even showed the tags too, Christopher said Sydney has different policy. I left the stroller to him and Saud to him keep it for your kids and came back home without baby stroller."

Cons: "At Sydney, 6-7 check-in agents for probably 400+ passengers, nearly an hour wait. Airline model is cheap seats, then charge like hell for everything else. Want seat selection or movies or preassigned seat or uncramped seat? Pay up. Ended up assigned next to toilet on a 10-hr red-eye flight."
