Our Jetstar flight arrived 10 minutes late to the gate. This gave us 55 minutes between flights. We had no chance to make the connecting flight. Kayak and Kiwi.com should not have allowed us to book that flight because there was never 90 minutes prior to our international flight. I am very disappointed in Kayak and will reconsider using this site to book in the future. We had to buy an entirely new flight to get to Fiji which costed us an extra $700. I would like to speak or email with a customer service representative to discuss this issue."

But there weren't any on board the plane at all. And since I'm only 5'2" tall, my feet don't reach the floor, causing blood circulation to be cut off in my legs from the pressure of hanging on the seat. No recline for 12+ hours, and no foot rest = a lot of pain and discomfort. I've been to the doctor twice since arriving home and am still in pain."

The final flight to cape Town was excellent. I was going to write you a letter. We are capable of much higher standards and I felt ashamed. The international flight to Perth was better but the flight back from Perth was not good. Every flight should be welcoming and helpful. The attitude and involvement of flight crew makes or breaks the journey even if the craft is old and not perfect With regards eva young and trusting that this review canbe of help."

I never flew a Virgin flight before, but had been under the impression they were a notch above the US airlines - that was not the case. Seat pitch was minimal. I'm only 5'8" & barely had enough space for my knees. I'm scheduled for a Virgin America flight from SFO-EWR. I sure hope that's better. A week ago I flew Air New Zealand with a 3 hr and 4 hr segments. We were fed full meals on both legs."

Bottom line: Virgin cattle transport is better than competitors."
Pros: "Received a free meal on this flight (presumably due to this flight being part of an LAX -> BNE -> CHC trip). It wasn't a special meal per my travel profile and reservation, so I couldn't eat it, but the people sitting next to me were happy to eat it since they would have had to pay."

The ,late flight into Sydney cause us to miss our flight into Brisbane (our ticketed destination city). As we de-planed on the Jetway was a woman holding a sign with 12 - 114 names on it, we were one. She told us to go the the transfer desk and they would help us. We had never been in Sydney, could not find a transfer desk (there was none) found the ticketing counter - nobody there, found the airline office - nobody there, went back to the ticket counter nobody still there, asked a competing airline, they directed us to an air travel management office, where we found Fiji Air personnel. They were surprised we were not told where to go. they tracked down the office manager. We finally met with him at 1:40 PM, he told us our flight was in the domestic terminal and scheduled to leave at 2:00 PM. There was no way we could make it to the plane on time. He was rather rude to us and asked us how we thought we were getting to Brisbane, We responded with "I don't know as we've never been here before". Having never been there. we did not know there was an international and a domestic terminal at the Sydney airport. He told us who we were to fly out on and he was going to call over to the other airline and straighten it out. We went to the domestic terminal tried to check in for our flight, but we could not. That airline called Fiji Air to find out why, after half an hour they were told Fiji Air would not honor our flight as we were noted as "no Shows"/. We had to book another flight to Brisbane. The flights were great, we have had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with the ground personnel,"

Plus they make you remove your blanket for take off and landing, which I've never had to do with other companies. It went from shivering to teeth chattering. I couldn't understand why they served us a hot meal when we got on the plane. Anyone boarding at 11:30 pm should have already eaten, at that point you just want to sleep, not wait another two hours for food to be served and the trays cleaned up."

The limitations on checked baggage and carry-ons were not very good. 40 lbs for a checked bag, ok. But only one allowed. I've never had an airline, let alone international, that weighed my carry-on. All in all, it wasn't what I'd expect from an international flight."
Pros: "Cabin crew was efficient and friendly. In general, your baggage policy is horrible. Only airline I'm familiar with that only allows one checked bag?? I believe your aircraft baggage capacity is equal to any other aircraft of the same model so why the one bag limit. The landing in Nadi was horrible. The plane hit so hard on landing that it bounced up and hit hard again. Everyone was scared and holding tight to the seat in front of them. What was equally disturbing was that neither the pilot or co-pilot ever came on the speaker and said ANYTHING! No explanation, apology or anything-complete silence."

Cons: "You need to boldly tell your customers BEFORE they buy their tickets that you are one of few international flights that allow only ONE checked bag. Also that you only allow ONE carry-on bag. This information needs to be impossible to miss for your customers! Nowhere online did it say that I was only allowed one of each. I have travelled to and from the US at least 10 times and my husband twice as much as me, at this is the only international flight that we have ever encountered that only allowed one checked bag. I could not pack one bag into the other and I was traveling home, forcing me to pay $180. We also delt with extremely rude people who were condescending and disrespectful at the checkin counter. The seats on the flight were extremely uncomfortable. The crew did not specify what the food was. Instead of saying "chicken curry" they said "chicken". Because they didn't actually say was it was, I chose chicken and the was not able to eat the food because I am allergic to curry. I was also not able to get something else because I had already opened the food. So the dinner that I paid for with my flight, I could not eat. My husband and I will not fly with Fiji airways again."
