If I say No EXTRA insurance that’s what it means. I was quoted $145 for the rental. When I checked out the charge was $267. Something about some extra insurance that’s you’re forced to take even if you have full coverage. They were definitely not clear on this. I would’ve said no immediately. It’s bait and switch all day. Nothing as a black man I was subject to racism at the highest. After my conformation on line with the same credit card and license I used two days earlier at JFK they ran my credit again and doubled the price of my rental so I didn't get the car any more I have been renting since the eighty's this was my worse experience ever.Reviewed 25 June 2025

Ended up needing a last minute rental after an evening flight into Orlando. I couldn’t find anything available anywhere but luckily my teenager found Ace available through Kayak and saved the day. The wait for shuttle pickup was so long we weren’t even sure it was coming but this was my first time waiting on a shuttle from the airport to rental place so maybe that’s normal. We ended up getting a Lyft from the airport to Ace which was an extra expense but it was probably a good thing because when the shuttle came there were lots of people and the line was even longer. The line when I arrived, prior to the shuttle that I would have been on was long and moved kind of slowly. However, my time at the counter was quick, easy and pleasant. The car itself was great, no issues there at all. Drop off was a breeze but did have a 10 min wait for the shuttle to the airport which was fine. Overall, I felt Ace was a good value and good service and I’m extremely grateful for the last minute availability! For me personally though, I think I’d rather pay more to rent from the airport for the convenience of it instead of shuttling back and forth especially with kids in tow.Reviewed 23 June 2025

Not recommended! Didn't have the car we reserved. Vehicle we did get was used hard. They aggressively upsell insurance. Showing your insurance card to decline insurance isn't enough - they force you to show the declarations page.Reviewed 22 June 2025

They waited until I got to the gate to insert a $150 additional insurance fee to my bill! I had to ditch them in that moment (thank goodness I hadn't prepaid) and go next door to Fox rental car, which took me right away.Reviewed 19 June 2025

This location has scams occurring. First off they put $1000 hold on my credit card when their own rental agreement said it should be a $300 hold. Secondly, and most importantly, they demanded that I get liability insurance when in fact it is the law that rental companies in Ontario must carry basic liability insurance and it is not mandatory for the renter who has personal car insurance and an American Express platinum card that covers up to $75,000 damage. They indicated to me liability insurance was mandatory and if I did not pay the money for the liability insurance they would not rent me the car. I was stuck. I paid the money but filed a formal complaint with the headquarters in Indianapolis and the local franchise.Reviewed 19 June 2025

They didn’t gave me car. They have so many excuses already decided. They will not give you car if they think you have got good deal. They will then tell you to book at that time which would be expensive. Trust me, never go at this Ace place. You will be hanged at the end moment.Reviewed 17 June 2025

I never did get the car. Tooooo many stipulation, inexcusable reasons why I couldn’t rent a car though I had everything needed. I just wanted to drive to California, visit my mom in her last days and come back home to Vegas. But because I’m living in Vegas and have a California license I could only rent the car if I was catching a flight back from California. Now how stupid does that sound. And not only did I have a deposit but I also had to pay the cost for the car and for their insurance. I only have liability. But I thought all of that comes out of the $500 deposit. I had a reservation to pick up a vehicle at Ace Car Rental at LGA on June 7, 2025. When I got to location via airport shuttle to pick up the vehicle I reserved, they told me my reservation had been cancelled and to call customer service. Customer service said they cancelled the reservation but mistakenly did not contact me. The supervisor of the representative offered me a “deal” to pay 100.00 more for my reserved vehicle, take it or leave it. Terrible. I decided to make a reservation with Alamo and was completely satisfied.Reviewed 10 June 2025
