Now, in addition to Kayak, Expedia, etc, there are third parties (the two I have experienced were in China and Hong Kong). Is there a benefit to the consumer? NO. Rental car advertised as a car like a Toyota RAV4. What we got was a stripped down Chevy small SUV with 20K miles and bad windshield wipers. I didn't see any RAV4s at pickup or drop off. Lots of Kia, Hyundai, and Chevys.Reviewed 29 Nov 2025

I got to the counter only to find the reservation was booked for the wrong day. The counter agent indicated the reservation would be canceled, but apparently it was not. Later I found a charge ~$330 on my corp card for a car I never rented... I'll be calling Monday to dispute the charge.Reviewed 26 Jan 2025

I booked for $91 but I paid $194 when I dropped car off.I was told $3.50 per gallon for gas but I was charged $7,50 per gallon by O’Hare budget car rental place and also extra fees which never mentioned to me by Indy budget car rental place. The car I reserved was unavailable, as was literally every single non-electric car. Why even bother with a reservation in these cases? When I arrived at the desk, there was a 30-minute wait (despite being past 10 at night). The other car rental desks had very short and quickly-moving lines, but not ours. Though an employee was telling those of us waiting on line that the the selection was "limited", we were never told that "limited" meant "only electric cars". I flew into town to deal with a dying family member and the last thing I wanted was to deal with a type of car that I didn't even know how to refuel. Ultimately, the car was as frustrating as anticipated as it repeatedly glitched and wouldn't shift out of park without being toggled on and off. The front desk worker told me that we wouldn't be charged the fee for not recharging under the circumstances, but refused to actually document that anywhere and in fact told me I would not be allowed to rent the car without signing a waiver stating the very opposite. I was told "I told you we don't enforce it under these circumstances," but he got quite rude when I said I needed some documentation. That said, I don't blame the guy at the counter. It's obvious this place is managed by incompetent buffoons and those incompetent buffoons are the ones making the decisions; the people that work at the desk just have to be the public-facing mouthpieces of said buffoons.Reviewed 14 May 2024

There were over 50 people in line at the counter with one worker there. After waiting over an hour in line to get my car, i had to wait another 30 minutes for a car to be ready to go. The staffing was very poor and understaffed.Reviewed 7 May 2024
