VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLECons:I got a flat tire on my trip. They told me to exchange the rental at the nearest Dollar which was the Louisville Airport. 1. The lady at the front desk was very rude to begin with. 2. She went in the back to ask the manager how much to charge me for the flat tire, which turned out to be $130. I asked to see the manager who she had just spoken with, but she told me the manager was gone. Not only did she refuse to give me the managers name and contact info, but she refused to give me her own name. 3. I guess when you drive a rental with 30,000 miles of wear and tear on the tires, the last person to drive it has to pay for new tires. If you get a flat, take the tire and get it patched for $20 before you return the car. I travel 250 days out of the year, but Dollar will no longer be getting my business!Reviewed 16 May 2017

Angry over extra costPros:Car was clean and worked fine if noisyCons:Was unpleasantly surprised by about 30% tax on additional driver charges of 13 dollars a day and that the agent did not tell me at pickup about the taxes. And at drop off neither of the two staff knew why the 39 dollars had become 12 plus dollars more until we called the manager who said it was because of additional taxes. She asked if I had a revised contract after I added the additional driver. Yes I did and, when I looked at it the final charge was correct, with the additional taxes. But no one told me at outset nor point it out on the new contract that I signed without reviewingReviewed 3 Sep. 2017

Didn't even get to rent the car!Cons:I paid for the rental car in full, plus insurance and the under 25 fee. After spending $30.00 in Uber fees to get to the airport I check in to Dollar Rental and they tell me that I am unable to rent the car because I do not have a credit card. Yet for some reason they had no problem accepting my payment online and nowhere did I see that I must have a credit card to rent with them. This was my first time ever renting a car so I did not know I needed a credit card. The worst part about this (besides having to cancel my trip to Chicago just hours before I was supposed to be there for an event I had a non-refundable ticket to) was that Dollar refused to refund me anything! I will never rent with them again.Reviewed 10 Jul. 2017

Indianapolis AirportPros:The first agent we dealt with was very nice and tried to help us when we unexcptably found out about a $350 charge that would occur.Cons:The manager was rude and didn’t want to help out at all. Was like here is where it says you could get charged up to $350. kept saying it was a deposit but it was an authorization fee given by the credit card company. He didn’t want to help us at all and seemed put out when we asked about it. Then when we were leaving with the car the agent at the checkout booth lied to us about gas prices just to get us to buy gas from them. I understand meeting a quota but there was no need to lie about gas prices. She informed us that gas around this area is all over $3 and they had the lowest priced gas at $2.62. We declined saying we wouldn’t driving that much and we found gas for $2.45 less than 5 miles away where we were staying.Reviewed 5 Nov. 2018
