Very efficient staff—I was in my car in less than 5 min from arriving at the counterCons:
I wanted a compact car, but the key to it was misplaced so I was given a “free upgrade” to an SUV. It was a definite upgrade in car, but as the city I was driving in had narrow streets and park places, I was wishing I had the compact instead. Really think twice about accepting an alternate class of car and if it will suit your needs as well.Hertz

The staff member Dimple Goyal at 790 SW Marine Dr, Vancouver, was very helpful and able to help us extend our rental arrangements, which continued for a few months.Cons:
It is difficult to contact the 790 SW Marine Dr office by phone, which seems to have a bad connection.10.0 Wonderful

Insurance... I could not purchase through Kayak using a non-Canadian credit card, but only found out I was not covered during the rental period. This is important, and Kayak should be upfront to make sure whether or not the insurance was valid or not, even if it was done through Allianz.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
I rented the car under my name, because I was paying with a card under my name as well. My wife was suppoused to drived because my license was expires. They did not let us pick up the car because according to their policies the card holder is enforced to drive, and they did not even let us put her as an extra driver. They were not flexible at all and the set my a penalty of 60 USD2.0 Poor

The agent was very reluctant to alert me when recommendations they made were going to be extra cost. By the time she was done with her recommendations and I asked for a price it was double price on the site. Needless to say I did not complete rental. A felt very bait and switched!!4.8 Mediocre

I was 5 hours late to my pickup time due to airline issues. When I got there they said because I was late they cancelled my car. They would not honor the price. I had to pay an extra 150 dollars to get a rental car from them. Would not use againThrifty

Great car, drove well, man at the counter was really nice.Cons:
They didn't seem to know anything about the online booking system that I used, I ended up paying almost double because I wanted a GPS system which upgraded me to a nicer vehicle. However, I booked a Rav4 which is pretty comparable to a Chevy Esquire. I just feel like I overpaid for the upgrade.4.8 Mediocre

I only had the car 5 days and was charged the weekly rate. I was given only 1 day of insurance back when I brought it back early. On your website it doesn't mention the $30/day for insurance on top of the rental charge. I was led to believe at booking everything was included. Too expensive.10.0 Wonderful

the car was smaller than i expected from an SUV, but it worked out fine. also, i asked for a ski rack at time of reservation and also called thrifty the day before we went to vancouver. both times i was told that my request was recorded, but not guaranteed. so i thought there was a decent chance that i would get a ski rack since i requested it so far in advance. when we arrived at the pick up location, i was told that they do not have ski racks in that location and never have them available for customers. that was kind of weird.8.0 Very Good

The first Jeep Cherokee's 4WD service light was on, the second Jeep Patriot was old, ratty and stunk of cigarette smoke, and the last option with AWD was a Chevrolet thing. We left and went to Hertz and got a brand new clean Jeep Wrangler instead.10.0 Wonderful
